I have never done one of these so I hope it is not too boring!

This was mine and my youngest 2nd cruise (we went in September 2003 on a girlfriends 4 nighter) and everyone else's first cruise.
We were in 2 Cat 9's (2130 & 2132). On our other cruise we had reserved a cat. 9 and were upgraded to a cat. 5. We did miss the verandah a little but not enough to be worth paying very much more for. It was more that the room seemed smaller not having the wall of windows. We loved deck 2 aft. though and rebooked for December 17-24 2005 in 2 connecting cat. 9's. I can't wait to go on a 7 day now that I have been on 2 4 day's.
Anyway here we go. We planned this trip as a surprise to our kids. They thought we were spending a week in Seattle. We flew there first from Spokane, Wa and after we landed we whipped out some cute poems we had written and had them sit down to read them. They didn't react at all like I thought they would, they just kind of sat there. Now I HATE surprises but since we travel so much my husband wanted to do it this way just once. I guess my kids don't like surprises either. Once it sank in and they figured out that this was the real deal we got set to board our plane for Orlando. We flew Southwest (which is fine for short trips but NOT for long ones). But we survived and checked in at the Hyatt MCO a little after midnight. I had gotten 2 rooms on Priceline for $38 each. Great deal! They told us even with our priceline reservation to put out our bags in the morning for DCL. I informed them that we were taking a limo and they said it didn't matter. They gave me the info pack and everything. We crashed as soon as we got to the room since we had had such a long day.
