Mary and Mark - wow, congrats to your Grandma! 100 years young. That is amazing. Hope you had a great time celebrating with the family.

Yesterday we went to my Uncle's 62nd birthday party. It was fun. They were playing games from Minute to Win It. Some of the challenges were not that easy that is for sure. But still fun to participate and watch everyone do the challenges.

Been a nice relaxing day now today. Made salads and stuff this morning. Went to look at the refurbishing they did to my grandparents house before they put it on the market to sell it. And boy has it changed. For the good. Hope they are able to sell it. Then the rest of the day has been laying in the pool and laundry. Now tonight I'm turning a little greyer (sp). Since Brooke is now 15 she was able to get her school permit - meaning she can drive from home to school functions and back. Tonight they have marching band rehearsal and she drove by herself for the first time. That is so scary. She does very well while driving, but it is just the worry about what if something goes wrong. Ah, the joys of having children.

Hope your travels went well to Michigan Dave and you made it out and back home safely.

Well, need to go watch the Food Network Challenge for tonight. They are doing a Renasiance Festival cake. Then the Next Food Network Star is on.

This weekend is all about celebrating birthdays. Went to a surprise Friday night for a friend we met through DVC (he used to work for DVC at one time). Today we are off to celebrate Mark's Grandmother's 100th birthday!

Gotta chime in here. I love both Jeff and Susie. Gonna be a hard decision as to which one. Jeff really has a great personality and Susie is so charismatic (sp). It is gonna be a tough one. Wouldn't suprise me if they both get a show.

As for Vic, ick. I think he just doesn't have the "STAR" quality they are looking for. And for me, lose the piercings. That just doesn't look good to me.

It's going to be a tough choice, no doubt. Susie has more culinary skills, imo and Jeff has the gift of personality. I just don't see how a "sandwich show" will sustain itself on tv, but I guess next week will tell.

Vic, on the other hand. I'm shocked he made it to the end. Between the piercings, tats and his overall "roughness" (for lack of a better word)..... Again, don't know how it made it to the end.

I definitely would not watch a show that Vic was hosting.

I also don't think I'd watch a sandwich show, even though I think Jeff has "it".

Did you catch how vindictive Penny was when she was assisting Maribeth? I was happy that they Judges had Alton Brown call her on it.

Never watched Big Brother before, but find myself watching it now. Don't know why.....doesn't seem to be much of a point to it.

I just read in my local paper that "Extreme Makeover:Home Edition" is coming to our neck of the woods. Some of the crew will arrive for a pep ralley next week at our high school. The building will take place August 22-29. They are not saying who the family is or where the home is. Everyone will find out when the show airs on September 25th at 7pm.

Very exciting!!!!
