This will be our first trip on the Dream. Participating in the Fish Extender will be fun way to see the whole ship.
Has anybody in this group done a FE on the Dream?
We'll need to allocate more time to walking the hallways as the ship is so much bigger.

yes I did FE with the Lou Mongello cruise in Feb and it was A LOT of walking, so yes, you need to allow yourself a lot of walking time...lol

DH (Michael) and I are going on the DVC members cruise in 45 days. We will be on the Dream...our 1st time. We will not be participating in the FE on the cruise. Looking forward to the FE gift exchange for our cruise (March 2012).

I may be a little late answering or maybe somebody already has, but we have taken our OL on a cruise. No problem what so ever. We stored it in the closet so it was out of the way. But now we have two OL so not sure what we will do come March.

Thanks Chris, no one else had answered, I too love leaving so much there, so I only need to pack the minimum. although, my sizes have changed, I left a swim suit there and forgot to record the size, so now I need to take another with!

Dave - I know, bummer about not being able to get down early enough so Bob can golf with you guys. Not sure where we will be yet the night before the cruise.

Dianne - your welcome on the OL. It is like Christmas morning when you get there because you forget some stuff that is inside and when you open the locker it's like I forgot that I had that. And it is always great to get a new swimsuit to take down.

Okay, so the new posting of the updated FE list got me working again last night. I finished cutting out the mens and actually started sewing. Will probably take what I have sewn together for on the ferry Sunday (after we visit my mother in CT) and start turning them right side out (giving me something to do). At least this way I'll be half-way to completion on some. I figure this way I can try to keep up.

Also came to a decision on the kids (girls) "gifties".

As this is my first FE, I'm hoping what I decided on will be liked.

Of course it will be liked ... we've never had a bad FE gift!

I'm wondering what your strategy is for quantity. We probably won't know the count until Feb. People seem to be more active once they make that Dec/Jan final payment. Booking excursions also gets people to the forums as they look for tips and reviews.

Strategy? I have none since I've never participated in one.

Women -- I got on a roll and whipped out 9 of the women's gifts. Stopped making those since I had more than enough so far.

Men -- I have made 2 so far, have 8 more cut out and half sewn. I figured I'd make what I needed so far, plus 2 and then just stay on top of it each month.

Kids -- Decided what I was making. Have done nothing thus far.

I am sure we will love it...I my self have also begun making some...still trying to figure what to do for the Kids.
