Hey Gary - gotta a question for you. I know that when DVC first started, they said that they tried to pair up their reps with interested buyers who were from the same areas in the states, etc. Since you are in PA and bought in 1994, do you remember the name of your first rep - or do you still have the same one?

We are on our fourth rep with DVC. Our first rep was Megan Butler and she was wonderful. She waited 6 months for us to buy in after she gave us the tour and answered a ton of questions. Our next rep was David Branshaw, who we met on a DCL cruise. He had a lot of fun with him on two cruises and were delighted when we found out he was our new rep.

I'll post more on our next two reps later. I don't think either Megan or David are still working for DVC.

Good Morning my Cruisin' Buddies!

Mary, I am so sorry to hear about your friend, Chuck. I remember hearing you talk about him and the band and know how much you will miss him. God Bless Chuck.

The other day I said that I wished I could say I had a good day and just couldn't. Well, my dear friends, I am asking you again for another long, long period of time to pray for our oldest Bob, as he has decided to extend him deployment in Afghanistan for another 6 months. He was already backed up until December 18th because he took his leave late in his first round so that he could come home and be in his best friend's wedding in Sept. So when he went back they told him he had to extend to Dec. 18 instead of Thanksgiving. Well, now he will still get two weeks off at Christmas, but instead of staying home, he will go back until June.

I can't tell you how upset I am! I am asking you to also pray for my sanity as I try to cope. I was so worked up and excited about his homecoming at Christmas, and now I may not even get a chance to see him then. After that, I won't see him again until June! It's practically unbearable - I feel so very lost. And somehow, surrounded by friends and family, I feel so alone. I don't know why - I just do.

So I'll ask you to all bear with me as I try to get back to my regular self. I want to keep posting to all of you because it may sound silly, but it helps! Don't know what I'd do without John and Gail - they are my glue right now.

Love to you all. :lovestruc

Sue - Blessings and well wishes to you and your family.

I am trying to get all caught up from being gone and I sit here with tears in my eyes for you as I read your post :sad1:. I can't imagine how hard it is. I know my boss is going through the same thing. Her youngest son will be leaving sometime this month for Afghanistan for a year.

Anytime you need to talk, vent, cry, anything, please know that we are hear for you. If there is ever anything we can do to help, just ask. I wish I could give you one of these :grouphug: right now.

Thank you, your son and your entire family for the sacrifice he, and you all are making. I appreciate everything he is doing.

Prayers. :littleangel:

Good Tuesday Morning! :goodvibes

Mary - sorry to hear about your friend. I remember you talking about them and how you enjoyed them so much. Sad, but at least he is not suffering. :grouphug: Hugs to you.

Dave - Too bad about the yucky weather already. Sounds like business could be picking up for you though. :rotfl: That's always a plus.

Congrats to Sue & Dave for their wins of the :bride: and pirate:. You two have like a sixth sense to just know when it is time. Like some kind of special tracking radar. :rolleyes1 Just saying. ;)

Dianne - would love to see a picture of the fish extenders when you start producing them.

Well, gotta get to work now. Will post later about our trip to F&W. I'm just gonna start with saying it was brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr down in Florida. :flower3:

Hi Chris,
Glad you are home safe and sound - although you'd probably still like to be a WDW. Can't wait to hear about your trip and see pictures!!!

Thank you so much for the kind words. I wish we were closer too. It means so very much to have good friends who will extend their hands and hearts when you need them the most - thank you. And please tell your boss I will keep her son in our prayers. :lovestruc

Good Morning to all of my cruisin' buddies!

Looks like a fine day here in Jersey. A little chilly but beautiful blue sky! It's a "mom" day, so I'll be leaving in a little bit for her house and to run errands.

Everyone have a great day. :woohoo:

Yumm...pumpkin spice sounds great....:surfweb:

How are you today Sue?

Pretty nice - thanks Monika, for asking. I went to mom's today, did a few things around the house for her and after lunch took her to her regular hairdresser appointment - just like most Tuesdays. I was talking to her about Bobby, and although my mom is not the most sympathetic sole around, she did pretty well today just listening to me, so it was nice.

How about you? Do anything special today, or just enjoy the sunshine?

It's really good - and I add a smitch of cinnamon to it - ymmmy!

I think my nerves have settled down a little finally. As my son says, it is what it is - I just need to find a happy space in my head that I can put it all.

Just enjoying the day today....I am loving it...I have some of the windows open in the house.

We're hoping that Michaels mom will be moving down our way soon. An application has been filled out at a senior apartment community in our town. Not sure when...she's on a waiting list. Will be great to have her close by.

Good for you and having a mom day. I hope I will be able to do that with Michaels mom.

That will be nice! My mom's house is in an over-55 development - it's about 30 minutes for me.

She is living in New Castle which is near Delaware Memorial Bridge...for her, it's too hectic there. Southern Delaware...she loves. If she gets the apartment, she will be living about 15 minutes from our house.

I know where New Castle is. We go down to my grandmother's little cottage which is in a little place called Crystal Beach Manor on the bay. We drive down and go over the DMB and then take Rt. 13 to Rt. 40, thru Elkton and onto Rt 282.

Hello Cruising Buddies!!!!

It's been several days since I have been on here so I was hoping to at least catch up with you all on this thread.

When I started reading the posts I was :sad1: to hear all the news. I had tears in my eyes. I think between Mary and Sue's news and just my own personal feelings of being a little overwhelmed at the moment I just broke down. Mary and Sue sending lots of warm thoughts, prayers, and wishes your way at this very sad and emotional time. :grouphug: Big hugs all around!!

Then, it wasn't long before I was laughing and smiling with you all as I read through the rest of the posts. Tour Guide Ken in a Hawaiian Ascot. :rotfl2::lmao: And the thought of matching outfits. What a sight that would be!!!!

Dianne - I love your ideas for the FEs. I was recently thinking about how I would need different FEs depending on who I was cruising with. You answered that question. Look forward to seeing your handy work.

Chris - Glad you made it back safely from FL. Sorry to hear it was Brrrrrrrr!!! I checked the weather one day over the weekend down there and I saw it was pretty cool. Hope it did not spoil your trip.

Monika and Sue - I am about 1 1/2 miles off the Del Mem Bridge on the Jersey side. And yes, I agree New Castle is too hectic. The whole area around Wilmington and south of there is just so congested. And the bridge always has some type of work going on that closes multiple lanes. It's a real nightmare.

Dave -Maybe the weather is a good sign that business will be booming this year. Since we took most, if not all, of your snow last year I think you need to have a rough winter this year to make up for lost business. :confused3

As for us......

Things have been a little crazy....my mom was in the hospital last week, 5 day weekend with kids, DS went to Mt. Vernon, VA camping with Scouts and I was worried about him being cold in the evenings (turns out he had a great time and stayed warm at night with his 2 sleeping bags:thumbsup2), DD and I started getting some Christmas decorations down, on Sunday DD and I were headed to the Thomas Kincade event so we could finally get to meet him and my car barely made it over the bridge. We had to turn around and come back home. I was lucky that my sister offered her car for us to use. We were late but at least we still made it. DD had a fun time looking at the paintings but I was nervous every time she got really close to the paintings - especially those over $1,000. :scared1:

As for the car, I knew this day was coming but I had hoped it would at least wait until after vacation (in 13 days), DD's birthday on 12/17, and then Christmas. :headache:

So, we have been without a car the past few days. What a nightmare with all the kids activities and just having to run errands. I am very lucky though that I am able to work from home. The grocery store is not too far of a walk so I used my lunch break today to go pick up some things for Kyle's Court of Honor tonight. Figures I was responsible for picking up the paper products for this evening's events in addition to the desserts we needed to bring. The weather turned out to be great since it was sunny so it ended up being a very nice walk.

As for my mom, she has been home and is doing better. Thank goodness since she was concerned she would not be able to go on vacation in 2 weeks. To tell you the truth, none of us thought that there was any way she would miss it....even if that meant us pushing her around in a wheelchair. :rolleyes1 She would never sit home while her kids and grandkids were in Disney.

Well, I swore I was going to bed before 11 tonight. Oh well. I got to reading all these pages and then, as usual, I end up writing a novel to you all. :scared: It's funny how so often I keep a lot of this stuff to myself. Don't really bother discussing with other people but I'm so comfortable sharing with all of you. I guess sometimes it's nice just getting your thoughts out.

Not sure what the rest of the week will be like. Busy as usual but hopefully not too crazy regarding the transportation issue. Probably will be a little sad as we approach the weekend. 11/13 was the wedding date for that young couple I mentioned recently. Ugh, I just remembered I also have to get all my benefit selections done by 11/12 and also do my self assessment for my performance review. Just not in the mood to do that right now.

Happy Thoughts!!!!!! :hippie::flower3:

:fish:Just keep swimming!!!...:fish:...Just keep swimming!!!!!:fish:
