March 22, 2012 Dream SSMC Reunion AKA "It's all Gary's Fault" Cruise

I just read in my local paper that "Extreme Makeover:Home Edition" is coming to our neck of the woods. Some of the crew will arrive for a pep ralley next week at our high school. The building will take place August 22-29. They are not saying who the family is or where the home is. Everyone will find out when the show airs on September 25th at 7pm.

Very exciting!!!!

I like watching that show. I'd be driving to find the location just to see what kind of crazy scene they have going on to get it all done. They must work with some big crews and do a lot off site in advance.

The builders who have been chosen to build the home are looking for 2,000 volunteers and $200,000.00 for supplies. Apparently, ABC doesn't pay for supplies. You should see some of the homes these guys build...wow....High quality homes.

It's going to be a tough choice, no doubt. Susie has more culinary skills, imo and Jeff has the gift of personality. I just don't see how a "sandwich show" will sustain itself on tv, but I guess next week will tell.

Vic, on the other hand. I'm shocked he made it to the end. Between the piercings, tats and his overall "roughness" (for lack of a better word)..... Again, don't know how it made it to the end.

Yes, I will agree. But Jeff is just, I don't know, funky. He is funny, good looking and has an interesting concept. But Susie, I would love to try some of her cooking. Plus, she is spunky!

And I guess I would have rather watched Vic than that other dude, Justin, with the tats and the gages in his ears. Now that is gross.

The last few shows...I started to like Jeff more and more...Susie I always liked. I was thrilled when Penny went home. I liked her for the first few shows...but then her mean-ness came out (IMO). She did prepare some delicious looking meals though. Vic...aka Mamma's Boy...not too impressed with him. I like him but I don't think I would watch him if he had a show!!!!

That is exciting. Are you guys going to volunteer? I used to watch the show all the time but got tired of crying every week due to the families that were getting the home. Some stories would just break my heart and I couldn't handle it any more. But what a wonderful thing for the families who are receiving the home.

When I sailed the Dream in Feb I had this type of room. The only disappointment is there is sooooooooooo long between animations. I know they recieved complaints so hopefully they fixed that. It should also make a noise before the animation starts because if you are not watching closly and see Tink go by, you could easily miss it

The members cruise is 39 days away...I need a cruise.

Sue...Michael and I will be parasailing on the first Castaway Cay day. I am nervous but I really want to do this.
