Hello fellow cruisers!

My family (although a bit smaller as a family of 4) went on our last Disney cruise 9 years ago and we are heading out again with you all in March (now a family of 6!). So, my memory is foggy about specifics, although we LOVED our last trip.

I see I'm a bit slow on finding out about these Fish Extender gifts/roll call. So I'm wondering do people put them up without being part of an official group? I'd hate to put them up and then have the kids disappointed about no suprises inside.

I would not put up a fish extender as no one would know to visit your stateroom unless you are part of a fish extender group.

Unfortunately, our fish extender list is now closed to give the group an opportunity to complete their gifts. Normally fish extender groups close out 45-60 days in advance.

Welcome aboard! I agree with Monika that I wouldn't bother putting one out. You'll find that a very small percentage of rooms will have them and those will most likely be DISers signed up for the group. There are some other internet groups that might be doing them but those are rare and usually only on the "big" cruises. First sailings etc. Even then not everyone in the group does the FE thing.

Our kids are thrilled to be going back again. Our two older ones still remember parts of the cruise from 9 years ago!

I do have another question. I can't remember, can you just rent kayaks at Castaway Cay or does it have to be part of an excursion?
