Anyone going? We're a couple with a 10 year old son and 7 year old daughter. First time Disney cruisers.

I'v started a couple of threads for this cruise but they keep slipping away from lack of activity! We will be on our 2nd Magic cruise. It will be myself,DH, DD18, DS15 and DD's boyfriend 20. It will be the first cruise for DD's friend . There are a few of us DIS frequenters on this cruise let's start a new check-in here. We made our final payment yesterday so there is no backing out now!

Yeah - too bad the search doesn't work well so that these posts don't get repeated.

Do you know of others on this cruise?

Hi, all. I'll be cruising with my DM, DH, DD(8), DS(5), and DD (almost 2). This is a Spring Break cruise; though I would love for it to not be as crowded as I'm expecting, I'm sure we have lots of company on these boards. I would love to find some other kids the same age as my kids to e-mail prior to the cruise. Let's keep it bumped until we find each other.

Emily would love it; she's really hoping that she can meet some other girls over the internet prior to our sailing. If your DD is interested, have her e-mail us.:Pinkbounc

My turn to bump.
What shore excursions are you planning? I'm researching doing my own as there will be 3 adults and 3 children (assuming Baby Grace doesn't go into Flounders.)

Last year we went on a Carnival cruise and went on an Atlantis submarine, which is available in St. Thomas. It was expensive but really neat, so we're thinking of doing that again. Haven't gotten much further than that in planning. How are you researching the shore tours on tour own?

I spent about 2 hrs. yesterday looking over recent posts. You can do a search with just about any of the shore excursions and find out how other people have done it on their own and how much it cost them. It sounds like if you're just interested in going to the beach, you can have a taxi take you there and they will pick you up whenever. Several people have rented cars also. Some posters have also gone out on their own to the Butterfly Farm, Dolphin Swim, etc. Also, several people have gone horseback riding (not a DCL excursion at all.) My problem is that my youngest DD isn't old enough to go on several of the excursions I'm interested in such as the Pinel Island snorkel tour and the St. John Trunk Bay snorkeling; anything that involves a boat is for 5 and older. I was considering arranging our own transportation and having the adults take turns hanging out on the beach with Grace. However, I'm very concerned about the logistics of the car seat. I may end up leaving her at Flounders for the morning (assuming that there wil be room for her!)
Emily was very excited about e-mailing Sara - she's going to e-mail her again tomorrow.

My husband and I will be on the Magic 3/22. This is our first cruise, and we are celebrating our 25th Anniversary. I am a big Disney fan, I would love to meet some fellow cruisers. We are 53 and 55 and no children will be with us. We have all grown children and have spent five vacations at Walt Disney World with them and the grandchildren!!

Our family (DH, DS15, DS11, and me) will be on the Magic 3/22. It will be our second cruise; our first was the 4 day Wonder on 2/8/02. We all loved the first cruise and are looking forward to this one. We have never spent a "day at sea" before, last time we were in a port every day (Nassau, Freeport, and Castaway Cay).We never saw DS15 on the last cruise, he was very busy with all the activities at Common Grounds, but DS11 found the Oceaneers lab to be a bit too juvenile. He spent most of his time on board with DH. I'm really hoping that DS11 finds a buddy early on in the cruise, it would be nice to spend some "adult" time with DH. ;)
We are staying at the Radisson the night before the cruise, and hope to be some of the first aboard the ship! We haven't booked any shore excursions for St. Maarten yet (still deciding - any suggestions?) but on St. Thomas we have booked an open air jeep from Budget and are going to go exploring ourselves.
Only 46 days to go!

Marian

Dear mbaidacoff -

Would your DS11 like to email my DS10 before the cruise to see if we can link them up? He's also been emailing two brothers, 8 & 9, but they would be in different groups in the lab, should he choose to go. This is our first Disney Cruise. DS10 is in 4th grade and has a sister, DD7.
