March 2017 WDW Crowd Question

I am trying to get back into trip planning/forum mode. I've tried the 'Search' feature for March 2017 crowds, but I only seem to pull up threads pertaining to WDL vs. WDW. So...

How busy might it be at WDW in March 2017? Easter isn't until mid-April in 2017, so will that help cut down on the March 2017 crowds? I am guessing that the 2016 crowd calendar isn't an accurate picture due to Easter being on March 27th in 2016. I know that Spring Breaks vary around the country/world, so that spreads the crowds out over about a month's worth on the calendar. With Easter out of the equation, will that help?

We are contemplating a return to the World in mid-late March 2017 (3rd-4th week) and crowds are my biggest concern. Our dates aren't very flexible because, well, this princess is hoping to celebrate a milestone birthday at the most magical place! :) That being said, we've only gone in October and January, so I fear March may be a much different experience. I am OK with a different experience, I just don't want a horrible experience! If it is going to be insanely busy then I think I'd rather go the (non-Disney) cruise route.

Spring break starts the second week of March, so it's really about 6 weeks long. Historically, Texas schools will have their spring break the second or third week of March, and other areas around the country have early breaks as well. It will be busy, but not to the level that the weeks right before and right after Easter will be. Expect summer-level crowds. It's very manageable with a good touring plan, and the weather is usually great.

it will be better then it is right now ( late December ) but I think it should be fine Disney is becoming more crowded but if you go knowing you will not get on every ride and do ever thing the lines should not be that bad 30 to 45 minute for most but the big ones the weather should be ok but this is FL so you never know

so go for it keep you expatiation a little low and you will have a great time

Thanks! We have talked about it more and I think we are going to go for it. :) Now we just have to wait for it to get closer so we can make reservations (Is 8 months out far enough? We always booked 4 months out for off season.).

We are planners and have always done well with dining reservations and Fast Passes. I know it will be a bit different now that there are the MagicBands for Fast Passes, but we'll figure it out. For a few of the high volume rides, I am the only one who will go anyway, so I can do single rider line, if available. For that matter, if one of the kids wants to go, they are old enough now to do single rider line as well (as DH would probably just go wait for everyone to spit out the other end of the ride anyway). I don't get hung up on us all being together and we don't buy the pictures anyway.

We've always done AS resorts, which I am fine with again. Fun, affordable and excellent transportation. I've thought about Pop Century but I've heard that the rooms are a bit more dated than the AS and that the busing isn't as efficient. It would be funny to have a nostalgic theme for a milestone birthday though.
