Let's all get together and mingle.:cool1: This will be number 5 for us and a nice way to get away for spring break. DD will be 12 and DS will be the ripe old age of 10. Who else is out there?party:

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:

Have a great cruise!

Welcome. Just a little more than a year away. Luckily, we have a cruise in November, first. Before you know it, it will be March, 2014.

We'll be joining you! This will be cruise number 13 for us. We're doing a back to back with this cruise and the 3/21/14 sailing.

It will be me, DH, DD (turning 14 on the cruise) and DS (11).

Looking forward to getting to know everyone. :)

We are on this one too (unless I find a magical airfare to Hawaii). My daughter will be 6 and it is our first cruise!

My DH, DS (age 13 at time of cruise), DD (age 9) and I will be on this cruise and this will be our first! We have no idea what to expect but if its anything like what I have been reading I am sure it will be great. Why wouldn't it be? Its Disney. Btw I am also new to Disboards so I hope I am doing this right. :)

We are on this one too. We just got off the Dream last week and I can't count down quick enough for the next Disney Cruise.

We have two rooms and 7 people total. We have 5 adults and 2 kids. Both kids are boys and will be 13 and 10 at the time of sailing.

We will be enjoying cruising with the kids and the grandparents too.

This will be our 7th Disney Cruise. I always think that is a lot until I read some posts of those who have been on many many more!

Hi. everyone, just booked. We are just off the Fantasy and are looking forward to getting back on board. We will be three generations sailing. This will be the third Disney cruise for my DD (12) and I... and the second for my Mom.

Anyone interested in doing a Fish Extender exchange?

Penpals for the kids? my DD (12) would love to meet some of the kids we will be sailing with pre-cruise

Or participating in a FaceBook group? I have started a secret (only members can see posts/page) group page (Wonder Caribbean March Break) ... currently a very small group as it only has me and my daughter LOL ... but PM me with your FB name or look for me on FB (Stephanie Moeckel Cole) and I can add you in.

Hello! We will be joining all of you on this cruise. It will be our tenth (DH and I are sailing the Dream in 3 weeks:cool1:), and we will be sailing for spring break for my daughter's senior year celebration with her friends and their families. We will have 26 people sailing and are looking forward to it.

We did this exact sailing this past spring break, so if you have any questions, please ask. We loved sailing out of Miami, and my kids prefer the classic ships, so we decided to go with the same cruise again next spring break. Of course, then DCL went and released all of the info on the upgrades on the Magic, and we almost switched but decided to go with our original plan because we had such a great time on this cruise last time.:thumbsup2

Hi welcome, so far this thread seems quiet, but I bet it will pick up.

Wow, I am always amazed at the level of planning that large groups like yours must take... awesome to be traveling with family or friends. I would love to convince some of my friends to cruise with us sometime.

I was searching for navigators, but could not find any that seemed to fit this cruise. ..do you remember the dining? what nights were casual, formalish and what were pirate?

My daughter is very excited to go out of Miami, we were thinking of coming in the day before and staying at the Holiday Inn at the port. Any advice on lodging in the area. Thanks!!

Hi! I used to always save our room keys and our navigators, but I don't anymore.:confused3 I'm so sorry--I can't remember what the rotation was. I do know that there really wasn't a formal night.

As for lodging...we flew in to FLL, so we stayed there for the night before and used a shuttle service to get to the port and then back to the airport. It all worked smoothly. We're staying in FLL again for this cruise and will also use a transfer company to get there. We fly in to FLL so we can use our Southwest points to help out with the cost of air. We just got back from DL the beginning of the month, and Southwest canceled our flight at the very last minute, so they gave us $800 to use on a future flight, so it looks like we are for sure flying to FLL again!:cool1:

We loved cruising out of Miami! It was so pretty! Our favorite port to sail out of up to that point had been Vancouver, but I think Miami is just cool with all of the skyscrapers in the background. We just thoroughly enjoyed this cruise which is why we are doing it again.

I'm sorry I can't be more help on the navigators. If I remember correctly, I did locate them on the DIS in one of the stickies, and it was accurate if that helps out at all.

Here is a link to a thread that has the navigators for our cruise. The poster shows some of the navigators but then has a place for you to click in one of his posts to be taken to another site to see the navigators for every day of the cruise. In the thread, he also lists the tastings and stuff that were offered if anyone is interested in seeing that.

I am thinking of flying to FLL in southwest too! What hotel did you stay at that had a shuttle? I would like to do this trip carless if possible.

Hi! I think many of them have a shuttle, but we stayed at the Fairfield Inn (see link above in previous post) because they offered a 24 hour shuttle. We just called when we landed, and they sent the shuttle, and we got in very late! It was a nice hotel, but we chose Cambria for next spring break because my kids are taking friends on this cruise, so we needed a bigger room, and they have suites. My sister stayed there last spring break and said it was nice as well. Hope this helps.:goodvibes

I have been searching the DIS threads to glean some info and so far this company (SAS transport) has come up a few times by DISers as being reliable and reasonable. I may use them, as we also need to get from FLL to the port area hotels where we will likely be staying. Anyone ever try them?

I haven't used ridesas but I have read much positive remarks here, trip advisor, flyertalk, etc. they seem like a safe bet!

I think I just decided that we are going to fly into Miami or Fll and fly home from key west...at least I would love to do that. I am thinking two nights in key west before heading home. The more I think of it, the better and better it sounds!! Yes, we would have to get the car to drive to the keys, but I haven't been there yet!

Yes, we used SAS in March. They were reliable and I would use them again.

We love Key West and have made the drive from Miami. Key West is a fun place to spend a few days. :)
