Just booked our cruise

It will be myself, DS9, DD3, and 10 other family members. DH is convinced he hates cruising although he's never taken one
, so he will be missing out.
This will be our first time cruising and I am so excited. Honestly I felt a bit anxious right after we booked it but after doing a bit more reseach now I can't wait to get on board.
We used to take frequent trips to WDW before DD came along but none since(life has been a bit more complicated since then) so this will be her first time seeing Mickey and his gang who she loves. I'm looking forward to seeing her reaction
Hopefully she doesn't freak out but we shall see.
Now what i'm kinda worried about is clothes for us. I see shorts are not permitted for dinner and my son doesn't even own a pair of pants, or shoes for that matter, it's flip flops or tennis shoes. Is the dress code enforced for children as well?
Actually my DD is the bigger concern, she will only wear shorts a T-shirt and tennis shoes, I have no idea how i'm gonna get her to wear anything else(well I have an idea but I forsee quite a bit of crying
). I love her to death but she is a very stubborn child
Well i've been rambling on a bit....i'm just so excited
I'm sure it's going to be an amazing experiance for all of us
