March 16, 2013 - 5 Night Western Caribbean - Disney Wonder

Just booked our cruise :cool1::cool1::cool1:
It will be myself, DS9, DD3, and 10 other family members. DH is convinced he hates cruising although he's never taken one:confused3, so he will be missing out.
This will be our first time cruising and I am so excited. Honestly I felt a bit anxious right after we booked it but after doing a bit more reseach now I can't wait to get on board.:)
We used to take frequent trips to WDW before DD came along but none since(life has been a bit more complicated since then) so this will be her first time seeing Mickey and his gang who she loves. I'm looking forward to seeing her reaction:goodvibes Hopefully she doesn't freak out but we shall see.

Now what i'm kinda worried about is clothes for us. I see shorts are not permitted for dinner and my son doesn't even own a pair of pants, or shoes for that matter, it's flip flops or tennis shoes. Is the dress code enforced for children as well?
Actually my DD is the bigger concern, she will only wear shorts a T-shirt and tennis shoes, I have no idea how i'm gonna get her to wear anything else(well I have an idea but I forsee quite a bit of crying:sad:). I love her to death but she is a very stubborn child:worried:

Well i've been rambling on a bit....i'm just so excited:banana:
I'm sure it's going to be an amazing experiance for all of uspixiedust:

Welcome aboard!:banana: It sounds like you'll be traveling with quite a few people. You'll have so much fun! We are doing this cruise with a total of 44 people, and it's our third time traveling together as a group. We love it!:lovestruc

As for clothes for dinner, you'll get varied responses on this. I do allow my son to wear khaki shorts with a nice shirt to dinner, and my daughter sometimes wears khaki capris. We never look like we're out of place. You'll see some people dressed VERY nice, and you'll see some people that appear like they may have just come in from the pool. My opinion is do whatever makes you comfortable. I'd probably try to make the kids dress a little nicer, but I wouldn't make them go all out and make them difficult for you to deal with. It is vacation. And, it's YOUR vacation.::yes::

This will be my family's 8th Disney cruise. We fell in love with cruising after our first one. We still love WDW and DL, but there's nothing quite like a cruise on one of the Disney ships. You'll have a GREAT time!:goodvibes
