I'm planning on driving up for the afternoon/evening festivities w/ my sis, (we have APs) My question is:

Do you think it'll be super crowded with Spring Breakers? So crowded they'll close? We just want to see the parades, fireworks, and do a few major rides. No big deal if we can't do certain things.

Has anyone ever been during this time?

We were there last year on that date...it wasn't too busy really. The longest wait was for Peter Pan at about 45 minutes in the middle of the afternoon. Crowds really cleared out at night. Have a great time.

except that easter is 2 weeks earlier this year than last and i've always regarded the month surrounded easter to be peak.

I was thinking it would be VERY crowded b/c Easter is early this year. No matter if it is, I just don't want to get there and it's at full capacity or so unmanageable you can't walk. Most of our time will be in DCA, so I'm thinking it will be okay.

March 13th is an AP preview day at DCA, so I have heard that it might be pretty crowded. 3/14 is the last day that isn't blocked for SoCal Select AP holders until after spring break too.

That said, I'm TOTALLY going that day!

That's why we're going. We want to see the new parade, the EL Parade and the fireworks. I guess if we're not going on rides, we should have no lines

Where do we go to watch the parade since only AP's can?

I don't really know. LOL. I'm hoping it's obvious when I get there, or I'll just ask a CM.

sounds good. We're from San Diego too! North County though....and we're just driving up in the afternoon....no kids this time!

Lucky lady! I've been trying to convince DH to take a day off work so I can go to DL all by myself and go on the "adult" rides.
