March 13th 2011 Fiesta time on the Wonder!

We are also booked on the Los Veranos zipline in PV, but are still trying to figure out what to do the two days in Cabo. Tried to do the whale watching through DCL but they didn't have room for the four of us.

One girl in 5th and one in 7th at Monte Cassino. Yes, watching the snow fall and fall and fall! My husband has been going to work the last couple of days, but I have not driven anywhere yet. Walked over to a friend's house a few days ago and might do it again today when the snow stops - I have her daughter at my house and will eventually need to return her!

Do y'all live midtown? A good friend from church is a teacher at Monte Cassino.

My husband has gone into work the past couple of days as well. I have stayed in. The kids have gone out to play a few times. I went out walking around some today and shoveling some of the driveway. This looks like better snow to play in though. It is a little more wet so better snowman snow.

We do live mid town - about 2 blocks from MC. What is the name of your friend from church - bet we know her. Husband just called to say the weatherman now says 4-6 inches today - eek! But I am excited about it being "better quality" snow - watching my girls out the window trying to make snowballs and sled in this powdery stuff has been kind of sad!

We officially have an FE Gift exchange underway! So far, the following 7 families are participating:

Melsherard
Goofytracy
Jump4joy
Stfnslky
Aliron682
Mindy327
Millissa

If anyone else would like to participate, just reply to this post or send me a pm, I will update the list periodically. You don't have to have kids to participate, and the rule is, give as you want. In other words, if you'd like to give one gift per cabin, or gift to children only, or gift to adults only, or gift to each person individually, then thats what you do. We will in the future need # of adults, # of Children and ages as well as cabin numbers.

As we each find out our cabin number as our cruise approaches, post or pm that info along with the deck number and prior to our travel time, I will get a list to each of you.

What Is An FE Gift Exchange?
FE gift exchanges were created by fellow Dissers a number of years ago. Outside the stateroom doors there is metal FISH Hook for DCL or others to attach important notes or such for you. As part of an FE gift exchange, participants hang a some type of hanging organizer, commonly known as a FISH EXTENDER. Some people make elaborate ones, others hang decorative bags ect. Participants in an FE gift exchange then secretly leave a small gift in the pockets of others Fish extenders. The gift exchange add's more magic to the cruise and It's a real treat to come back to your cabin to find a surprise in your FE! :goodvibes

This is our first Disney cruise, March 13th Wonder, I have 3 kiddos. Can we join the group? What is the typical price range you spend on gifts for other kids?

Question: We booked the Palo for 8:00 Saturday evening, the day before we put into L.A. harbor. Does anyone know if there is a special program for that last evening in the regular restaurants?

Thanks, Mark.

Her name is Charity Hambrick.

I had just heard on the news about the 4-6 inches. It is starting to slow down around here. My husband is at Sam's right now getting some more milk and coffee for the Keurig. Those are about the only things we are running low on.

Welcome..

In Cabo we are doing the DCL beach, buggy, and swim. It has gotten really good reviews and I really liked the tour company. I also have an 11 year old daughter and she would love your girls company. Check it out!!

I've been reading the messages for a bit now, and it's time I speak up.
I'm a single father taking my 8 year old son on our first crusie, for both of us!
We're from Arizona, and will be on the Wonder the 13th - 20th too.

I have a few questions, some I have been able to answer by reading the messages, others I'm just a little unclear on. Please excuse my rookie questions.

Docking: When the ship visits PV, or Cabo, how long does it usually take to exit the ship? I just booked our cruise a few days ago, so all the excursions I wanted to do are booked. Having to book them other routes, and I want to be sure I'm scheduling myself enough time.

Oceaneers Club: Is it open regular hours when the ship is in port? In other words, could my son still visit the club, while I go off the ship to a excursion?

Clothing: I have NO idea what to pack. I've read there are nights you need to dress up formally, nights you need to dress in costume...HELP! haha.

I'm excited for the Cruise, but WOW, there is a lot to learn!

Thanks to everyone!!

I Saw some other people from Arizona will be on this cruise too. Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some of you.

Good news Zip liners!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Persistence pays off!

I got us a sweet ride!
they will pick us up from the port! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
I spoke with the " right" person tonight. Esmerelda.
I asked for some sort of confirmation in writing, with where we meet.

She will send out an email confirmation to us shortly confirming our pick up at the port....where to go, and at what time.

So for a party of 23.....
Bresolin. 5
Morgan ( our friends) 4
Perry. 4
Anderson. 4
Stiers. 4
Stradman. 2

To the Mullen family who asked for a ride as well, they did not have your reservation. Are you booked yet? Maybe at a diiferent pick up location or time?

Esmerelda said if you called the zip line company, and quoted my name (Bresolin) they will add you in to be picked up at the port.

So with the extra money we save not taking a taxi......we can maybe celebrate
with an extra round of tequilas!!!!:rolleyes1

Sonya, I spoke with Esmerelda today and she has added our family of four on to your group. She said there would be plenty of room. Thank you so much for arranging this! I am now ready for that fruity drink!

Hi us "Arizona" people are meeting tonight at the Dave and Busters at the Tempe Marketplace at 6pm if you would like to join us. I think there is a boy about your sons age that is coming tonight. My cell # is 480-250-4756 just call if you are coming and we will look for you.

Docking...PV it is really easy..you basically just walk of the ship. Cabo you have to tender and it can take a bit of time (I am hearing 1 1/2 hours). Just do not try to go fist because everyone with DCL booked excursions gets off first.

Oceaneers club is open while they are in port. You can totally leave him on the ship.

Dress..There is a formal night (shirt and tie with jacket, or just a shirt and tie), semi-formal (shirt and tie), pirate night you can dress up if you want.

Anything else?? Just ask away!!

Yes! I agree there is a lot to learn! We are first time cruisers, also, but I have found tons of information here. I'll let some more experienced people answer most of your questions, but I do know that, yes, the club is open during port days if your son would like to stay on the ship.
Good Luck with your planning!

Do you have all girls or is the 9 year old perhaps a boy? My son is looking for more kids his age.

Meredith

My son just turned 10 and was concerned that the cruise qas full of girls. We should meet up on board the 1st day and introduce them.

We would love to do it, but the last time I looked it wasn't available! I am checking every day in case they open it up to more people. I am looking at the whale watching and snorkeling tours through Pez gato and Cabo eco tours right now...
