Hope you had a great Easter!
we had a very quite and peaceful Easter, went to my parents and it was just the 6 of us. That's when they informed they would love to cruise with us.

That's great news that your parents are joining you guys! Do you have cabin assignments already?
We do but i can't remember at the moment what they are i know they are on deck 7 midship

I'm hoping to pay for an upgrade at the port if possible.
so far it is not a sold out cruise and that would be the only reason why you wouldn't beable to upgrade. Wondering if because we aren't going to Castaway Cay that makes this itenary less desireable. For us that was what we lilked more ports and different cultures to see.

We told the kids about the cruise this weekend! Was so much fun! We did a Disney movie night (as we do about once a month). So we did Little Mermaid and before dinner I did one of the character calls so Ariel called the kids to tell them about the cruise.

It was funny to watch them as they started to clue in to what was going on. I think they're most excited about going to Mexico because it's a recognizable different country.

Now the anticipation can begin!!

I think I'm going to surprise them with a dolphin excursion in Cozumel! I think they'd go nuts being able to swim with dolphins!!

I noticed your ticker too! A cruise on the Dream for a second honeymoon!! Fabulous!! I'm hoping to convince DH to renew our vows either at DW or on DCL for our anniversary in a couple of years, you'll have to let me know how the Dream is compared to the Wonder!

And yes, more families will be good, especially to do the FE!!

i am pretty sure i will like the wonder better basically it is smaller and easier to get around, but you never know. I am looking forward to enjoying all the adult lounges on the Dream and not worring about little ones.

welcome so excited that we are getting another family. I will add you to the FE.

So I noticed that you have been on four cruises have they all been DCL and if so what ships. Would love to sail on the Fantasy but thinking it might just be to big for us. Guess i will find out in September if I like the bigger ship or the classics.

I'm looking into the cruise...it will be our first time on a DCL. I'm a bit bummed this cruise does not stop in Castaway Cay...will I be disappointed? It will be myself, dh, dd (10) and dd (9). I also need to figure out if this would work since we will be in Tampa from the 8th-11th (vacation with my parents). Is it even possible to leave early on the 11th and drive to the Miami port? I guess we could always drive late on the 10th and stay a night in Miami.

Can't really help with the Castaway Cay since we have never been, but as DH (mnwoodduck) says you can't miss what you don't know. Jeff and i will be visiting CC on your Sept cruise, then i could give more info. But I know that both stops have great beaches.

My dh gets home tomorrow and we leave on a Carnival Cruise Friday (my cousin is getting married in St.Thomas) and I'll have a talk with him about this!! I'm really hoping he will go for it.

Also wanted to mention we're driving from the Orlando area the morning of the cruise (just getting up early!), so I think driving from Tampa is doable!!

We booked our cruise this week! My DH, DS and I just got back from a 5 night cruise on the Magic in April. We had a such a great time that we convinced the entire family to join us for March Break this year! This time we will also be bringing our twin girls (they will be 2 at time of sailing). We had left them at home with Grandma and Grandpa last time so that we could take our son away to give him some one on one time without the babies.

So it will be 9 of us in total (the 5 of us) plus my mom and dad and my brother and his friend in 3 staterooms on the 7th deck.

Most if not all of us will be interested in doing the Fish Extenders...I've already started looking at what I need to make one for my parent's and my brother's staterooms. On our last cruise my son absolutely loved getting back to our stateroom to see if there was a "surprise".

I'm so excited to be going back...hopefully it will be here before we know it!

We look forward to sailing with you!

Okay thanks! I will let you know as soon as I get confirmation from the others. Something we did last time with the FE that was kinda fun was that along with getting the usual info (age, stateroom #, gender) we also had to submit who our favorite Disney character is. I tried to incorporated this into the gifts I made. So if you would be okay with doing that this time it would be great!
