Marathon Weekend Crowds

We love Disney in January and usually go the week after MLK. 2018 though, we'll be there January 7-13. We've never visited this week and I figured crowds would be lower because its the week after NYE and most schools would be back in session. Anyway, I see that it's marathon weekend. Is it over on Sunday? Sunday would be our arrival day (no parks). Should I expect high crowds early in the week due to this? TIA!

You should be okay during that time. The closer you are to the the 1st the worse it will be. Some schools still have off that first week of Jan. so that's why crowds will be larger. Sunday is the full marathon and last event of the weekend. Runners shouldn't be your worry.
