Marathon week vs MLK holiday

I booked a short stay (2025) Jan 8th Wednesday- leave Saturday of marathon weekend. But wondering if I should change it to the same days but before MLK holiday (15-18) I’m worried marathon weekend might be busier? Or would the following week be busier?

I can’t speak to the marathon week timing, but MLK week has always been very busy. (It is right around my birthday, but I’ve learned to postpone visits to later in the month to avoid the crowds.)

I think it’s a draw. We’ve run the marathon a few times and it always seemed busier than our summer trips.

Thanks for your input. I guess I also think it’s a draw. I looked at going the week before the marathon also but room rates are more expensive. So I think I’ll just keep my trip as it is.
