Marathon for 2008

When is the information for the marathon's usually released? My DH would like to try for the 1/2 if not the full in 2008.

Believe it usual goes up the day after the previous race is completed... correct me if I'm wrong...

Matt is correct. I think in 2006 the registration might have even opened up on Sunday, day of the Full Marathon. But I wasn't home to look but thought I heard someone remark while we were on a bus either Sunday or after that.

But registration DOES open at least by that Monday immediately following the races. So in 2007 check Wide World of Sports on 1-8-2007.

We are going down for the frist time Jan 26, 2007.

How fast do the marathons fill up?

Would he be better off registering ASAP or could he register while we are there?

For 2007, I think the half filled up in July or August of this year and last I checked, the full is still available. The Goofy, both half and full, filled up much earlier. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Correct. I'm a big fan of signing up early, however.

Information about dates and such is usually up on their webiste in late fall. So the dates and times should for 2008 should be up in late this fall. The race dates will either be the first or second weekend in January.

Me too! It's a great motivational tool! I signed up for 2007 the day I got back from 2006. If you have DVC however, you may want to wait a bit. There's usually a registration discount, but it takes them a couple months to get the registration form on the website.
