Ok, last night I had my 3rd anxiety dream. I was at the Contemporary and needed to get to the monorail to get to the race. I was walking all over the place and could not find the monorail. I was really worried about not getting to the race on time. Someone at CR told me to take the bus, but I couldn't because I could only do my stretches on the monorail. :confused3  I finally gave up on the idea of stretching and decided to take the bus. The only problem was, I couldn't get out of the hotel. I was walking everywhere and couldn't find an exit. I asked people and they would tell me where to go, but when I got there, there was no door. I never did find a bus stop because I never got out of the hotel.

I wonder how many more of these dreams I'm going to have...

How many days are left before the event? Ummm, really though I know you aren't thrilled by these dreams, but you'll be able to enjoy things so much when you are there. It won't be long now.

I'm glad I'm not the one having those dreams. I'll "enjoy" yours though.

Julie,
Had my first dream the other night! We forgot to go to the expo and I did not have a race number at the start of the race and no one knew what to do.

I know the timing of the expo on our first night has made me a little nervous.I want to go and get it over with but we arrive at the airport at 5pm.

Linda

Linda, sorry you had your first anxiety dream, but I'll admit that I'm glad I'm not the only one having these dreams!

I'm sure you'll get to the Expo in plenty of time. When do you arrive in Orlando? Were getting there on Fri, the 9th.

Thanks - you always have such a nice, encouraging way of putting things. :goodvibes

Also, I'm glad to provide some entertainment for you and my other fellow WISHers as we count down to the big weekend.

So now this thread has me doing it too! Last night I dreamed I was at the starting line of my half marathon--it wasn't necessarily Disney but there were supposed to be more than 20000 people in it, so close enough! The half and full were being run at the same time. The start was on a track, and there were only about 10 people there. Then all of a sudden a wave of runners came by--as though they were from another start area. So those few of us lined up in a track start just started running with them. Fast froward and I was on the course somehwere, and I was running with all this stuff--extra running clothers that I had taken off, water bottle, other things that I can't recall. I kept trying to run while holding it all-I'd drop some, thenpick it up. I couldn't find a way to carry it. Runners started passing me--we were running indoors--seemed like a school. And we were going up stairs. I think I woke up after that.

We need a dream interpretation book!

Maura

Maura, I'm sorry you're now having race anxiety dreams too, but I'm glad I'm not the only one! I actually don't mind my dreams too much. They're very entertaining - well, after I wake up and realize that it's just a dream, that is.

I had a dream, too. I forgot my running clothes and it was like two hours before the race.

Shan, welcome to the anxiety dream thread! These dreams, although funny once you're awake, are so stressful when you're in them. Thanks for sharing yours. I'm sure I'll have many more to share before race day.

I had my first dream last night - I finished (yay!) and I actually got to see the time. When I went to a pace band calculator site and punched in that finishing time for the 1/2 - the time at the 10K mark was the same time as my last 10K. I guess my subconscious is better at math than I am.

I am doing the Goofy challenge only its a hike through the mountains. Everyone around me has those super organized backpacks with a container for everything. They are stocked to the brim with extra shoes, clothes, bandaids, food etc. I am carring my clear plastic drop bag with a banana and clean shirt.

I get the impression that my subconcious does not think I am prepared.....

Cecilia

Vicky & Cecelia, thanks for sharing your dreams. Cecelia, I was drinking iced coffee while I was reading your post and almost spit it all over my monitor I was laughing so hard.

I'm really glad I'm not the only one have these crazy dreams. :upsidedow
