Can you tell me how you liked it there? Is the entertainment constantly going on or are there different seating times? Would toddlers be entertained here? Is this a buffet or do you order from a menu? (We're trying to avoid a week of buffet eating!) Is the food good? Do you have pix you can post for me?!

Thank you!!!! :goofy:

I haven't been but I posted a week or so ago asking how it was and all but one person on the thread told me they loved it. Someone even posted the entertainment times for me. I'll see if I can find the post.
If go up to the top of the page on that blue bar and click on dining you can find the DIS menus for all of the restaurants. Everything at Marakesh is individual. It's not a buffet.
I am pretty excited to try it.:goodvibes

If you can find the link to that thread, I'd appreciate it! I tried to find old posts but I must not be spelling it right or something! THANKS!!!

I have read great reviews on this place so in less than 2 weeks we are going to try it. The menu on the DIS is the current one. I called dining and the CM said there is no set time for the belly dancer but she does appear each hour.

There is a schedule for the belly dancing that you get with the EPCOT map when you get in the park. We ate here in late July and had a 7:45pm ADR. The belly dancing started at 8:10 and lasted for about 20 minutes. She picked out several young girls from the audience to come up and dance with her. I'm not sure how interested toddlers would be, but most older children would find it entertaining.

The food was pretty good. I wouldn't say it was my favorite meal, but it was good and plentiful. The service was quite slow on the night we dined there.

We klove Marakkesh, it is a must do each trip.
It is a beautiful restaurant with all its tiling, the servers are warm and friendly and the food is very good.
I agree the Belly Dances for about 20 minutes several times during lunch and dinner. I also think the times are on the times guide you get when you go to Epcot. Remember a TS meal usually takes 60 - 90 minutes so you are bound to see her on your visit.
Have a Good Trip

We ate there when my DD was 2 and 3 years old, and she was fascinated watching the belly dancer. She didn't take her eyes off of her!:)

That made my mind up right there! haha ANYTHING that will help entertain my girls while we eat is a welcome help! haha THANKS!

If anyone has food pix or knows of a link to another thread with pix...I'd love it! thanks!

we are there last year the food was REALLY good...and I'm the most notoriously picky eater that I know!!:lmao:

The belly dancer is really neat, my girls (5 and 7 at the time) love it...so did DS(11) but I have a funny feeling his enjoyment wasn't entirely due to the dancing (I know DH wasn't!!:rotfl2: )

you'll love it... but be warned that there are places in the far corners where you can't see at all... we were clear in a corner on the "upper level" and the girls both stood on the seat against the wall to see!

We like it a lot, a must do every trip. Good food, but it's the atmosphere and entertainment make it special.

Last posted schedule I saw for music/belly dancing was: 12:50, 1:50, 2:50,
5:00, 6:00 7:00, 8:10

Have fun!

We had a mixed review on our trip. I thought it was ok and a bit overpriced on my meal (I got the sampler for $32 and did not recieve a ton of food. My father got the kabob and absolutely loved it. So I think it is a decent meal for those wanting something different. The entertainment is about every 20 min or so but does not coinside with a seating time. You will see it at least once during your meal. Personally I liked the Tangerine Cafe better and felt it to be a better value, but would never tell anyone to avoid this pic because it was by no means terrible.

I'm so glad to see so many positive reviews of this restaurant! We are trying it for the first time for dinner next month!

Mmmmm, this is probably my favorite World Showcase restaurant! The vegetable couscous and seafood bastilla are both amazing. We never check the schedule, but we always see the belly dancer at least once when we eat there and sometimes twice if it's a leisurely meal (like when we were there with a big group once), so I know she performs pretty frequently.

Steve Soares has times on his web page and they're updated every week. There's even a picture of the restaurant on there. Link is right up there...
