Mar. 19, 2009 Wonder: Aye, But We're Loved by Our Mummies and Dads

You are so smart to remember your Michael's coupon. I went to Hobby Lobby to get the magnet paper and realized my 40% coupon was sitting at home, on my desk. So frustrating!

Speaking of saving money, I just saw this in my AllEars newsletter regarding a sale at Disney World. Not sure if this applies to the cruise as well, but wouldn't that be nice?

Ok..we now have glow sticks, magnetic tape and some mickey fabric to make the girls matching outfits. Now all we need is warmth and sunshine! Two weeks from tomorrow is Sail- A-way day and we'll be able to faces with all the names!

Ok.....lets all get our heads together and pray for warmer temps.........I did a 15 day outlook (I know a lot can change between now and then) and Orlando is going to be in the upper 60's. I believe Nassau is going to be mid 70's. Yikes!!!! Time to change up the packing and throw in pants. I was afraid this was going to happen. Upper 60's isn't too bad for mid-day at the parks, but a little chilly for swimming and evenings.:sad2:

Alright ladies. Weather.com is showing the average temps to be around 79!!! Let's hope it proves true and the clouds stay away! Bathing suits here we come! Do you think it's too late to start a diet? LOL. :rotfl:

Yes I have been checking temps and it looks like we are in for some 70-80 degree days. LOL on starting the diet I figure I will just do that when I get home after eating all that food at WDW/Wonder. Hope everyone has a safe and uneventful trip to port. See you onboard.

Aww! That bites. We were in WDW in Dec 2007 and it was quite cold and DD still wanted to go swimming. For park weather, that's great; for swim weather, not so much. Time to pack some pants for the little ones.

Everyone excited!?! My DD is so excited she's driving me crazy. The fact that she has to go to school for another week and a half is NOT sitting well with her.

I've had two weeks of sickness in my house. DD5 just got over strep, and now DH isn't feeling too good. I'm feeling a bit under the weather as well. Hey, as long as we're better by Mar. 19, that's all that matters!

So, it's the lime green mickey heads we'll all be sporting?

:rotfl2: Diet??? I've been thinking about that ever since I booked the trip. But just "think", never did anything. So...here am I, a week from the trip, looking through my clothes to see which ones will hide that extra pounds better! :rotfl: But I don't care, I am going to have fun....

We had a lot of sickness a couple of weeks too, but we are better now. I keep telling the boys that if they want to be healthy and enjoy the trip, they need to very careful and wash their hands thorougly!!

We are really on the countdown to the cruise! We are looking for kids the same age so we can say "hi" in advance. Teddy (DS) is 8 and in 2nd grade. He loves basketball, football, video games and reading Magic Tree House books. Emmy (DD) is 5 1/2. She is going into kindergarten next year. She loves having playdates and has recently discovered Hannah Montana. Gracie (DD) will be 3 within 30 days of the cruise and my fingers are crossed that the kids club will take her since she is long potty trained.

We have been on 2 other Disney cruises. The 4 day Wonder over Halloween 2006 and the 3 day Wonder February 2008.

Would love to know if other kids the same age are checking into the kids' club.

Hello! Welcome to the board! I am Alison. THis will be my family's first Disney cruise and it's a surprise for the daughters. We don't plan on telling them until we pull up at Port Canaveral. I have a 4 year old Daughter, Olivia and a 23 month daughter Savannah. Olivia will be spending some time at the kids club and Savannah will probably go to Flounders reef a few times. Check out the first page of this message board to find out all the families and childrens ages going on our cruise!

Welcome to the DIS Boards, and welcome to our cruise meet! My DD is 8 and DS is 5, so your oldest two will "know" two kids in their age groups from their photo on page 1 of this thread. We look forward to meeting you!

OK, let's solidify the details for our 2 "official" meets.

I think our land meet is fairly straightforward. We will watch Wishes from the Poly beach near the Volcano Pool on Monday 3/16. Wishes will start at 10 that night. I plan to arrive around 9:45-ish. Anything I'm leaving out?

I'm slightly less clear about our sea meet. It sounds like we've agreed on Deck 10 during the Sail Away party. But Deck 10 is pretty big and I'm afraid we'll spend the whole party wandering around, searching for fellow Home Depot Lime Green Mickey wearers. Looking at my Deck Plans map, I see tables and chairs near the Outlook Bar. Is this area adults-only? If not, would this be a good place to meet? Or should we pick a spot where we can look down and see the Sail Away party? Suggestions?

This is my first cruise, so I don't know which is which yet. But I follow good instructions, so just let me know when our meeting spot will be and we will be there with Alien Green mickey ears!! :cool1:

After reading so many posts after the door magnet and Lee Ann's picture in our thread, I decided to at least make one for our rooms. Here is what I did, just sent to costco for printing, 12 x 12. :woohoo:

I am so excited and want to share with you all. Since I cannot post pictures yet, here is link...hope it works.

Also, I made my own autograph book for both of my boys. I used card stocks for printing, so it is very thick with all the 56 pages. Printed 8 x 8, and took them to Kinko's for binding. It looks pretty fun to me!! Here is a link to the cover and one of the pages.

You are awesome! Those all look great. Where did you find the treasure map image? I started doing digital scrapbooking late last year--still learning the ropes. None of my magnets really have the digital scrapbook look. Although I'm v. pleased with my naughty princesses one.

Lots of nice people on this board who offered help with designs for magnets and tee shirts.

I'd like to see the sail away party. If we need to meet somewhere to group up that would be fine but I'd like to see the boat sail off from the dock.

Vivan, here is the link to the pirate map and other cruise related images, one bad thing is it's all Magic.

Since I blended the map into the background by making it transparent at 50%, I added the Mickey pirate image seperately so that it will still be clear. Here is a link to that Mickey image.

I can't wait to see yours too!! I've been doing digital scrapbooking for a while, but never have much time to do what I wanted to do. It is a lot of fun!!! :woohoo:
