Map of Area?

I am so confused when looking for something outside of Disney! Apparently EVERY house or condo for rent in Florida is only 10 minutes from Disney- LOL! Does anyone know of a good map or something to help? Is Orlando better than Kissimee? Are there any bad areas of either? Thanks!

Get the address of where you are considering staying and use an internet service (Rand McNally, Mapquest, etc.) to plot it from DTD on Buena Vista. That will give you a general idea.

Yes, there are "bad" places in both Kissimmee and Orlando as there are with many metropolitan areas.

the problem is that Disney is big. they aren't saying the front entrance - just Disney.

ask how far from the front entrance. that number should be alot longer than 10 minutes for most. Ask the miles from the front entrance to the house you are considering. (not back entrance)

Kissimmee is much closer than Orlando to WDW.

now if you are going to US/IOA then Orlando would be better.

but if only WDW then stay with Kissimmee area.
