Many reasons to be THANKFUL! Oh, look the baby is crying Nov '12 (THROWBACK FRIDAY!)

So, a real life update… Cortlyn was doing GREAT with her surgery, until Thursday night. She started to really complain about her throat hurting and we had a rough night of sleep.

Well, (WARNING- Medical Yuckiness to follow!) Friday morning, poor thing had started coughing up blood- she had a blood clot form on the lefthand side and it basically exploded. So, off to the ER and long story short, we ended up right back in the OR with her doctor going back into re-cauterize the area. She is back to doing great, but it is going to delay her recovery a bit!

Thoughts and prayers are always appreciated!

Oh no!! I had followed her amazing progress post op on FB. I'm so sorry for the set back. I know this can't be easy on mommy either. Praying that as sure as the sun rises and sets at His command that He can bring swift healing to your little one! Hang in there.

To comment on your Cars photos with the girls... Cort looks like she is a pro at striking those cutsie poses. So adorable!

Your Thanksgiving lunch at WCC looks absolutely perfect! I would much rather have the turkey and fixings than the BBQ anyway so bummer that it is a special occassion meal rather than an every day one. (I hope, otherwise I don't know the menu well.)

Oh, and those buses for the Deluxes... You made me think, yeah it really is a free for all getting on and off and YES crowded much of the time. I've been annoyed with how some of the younger people don't give up their seats for the older folks or ladies but I think it is just the times we live in.

I hope she recovers fast. I have heard this happening too, so i bet it's kind of common. Good thing they could get her in right away!

I do wish they had some sort of transportation to the front of Epcot from the back door.
We have left our jackets on more than one occasion, so don't feel bad.

Lunch at WCC was wonderful! I'm not sure what the regular menu has on it, but if I could get that sweet potato casserole again, we'd eat there every day!

Cortlyn is quite the HAM with those cars, isn't she? I love the one where she's kinda laying on the hood! Sigh… I might be in trouble some day! haha

It was tough on me- but luckily, I was the one dealing with her and not Corey. He just isn't really good with he "medical" stuff- he would have probably thrown up and been useless if he was home at that moment! I did fall apart a bit once they took her back to surgery and I was "alone" with one of the nurses. She sat with me for a little bit just to make sure I was okay. Very sweet!

Thank you! She is going much better now! She was so sad to miss Church this morning and not see all her friends.

Yeah, it's like a "1 in an 100" type things- so they knew what was happening right away, but it wasn't on my "radar" since she was feeling so well up to that point, you know?

Photobucket has been acting up for me today… not sure what the deal was, but I've been trying to upload pictures ALL day!

I think we are pretty set on the idea of going down next spring break!!! I didn't think we'd do two trips so close!!! I know- there are some of you that get to go several times a year- I'm looking at you Jen and Brenda! But this is pretty exciting to me! I figure that if we go in March (college spring break!) that we'll get one more "free trip" out of Catie. So, of course, this all depends on a few things, but we can start the pre-pre-planning of looking at all the different resorts!!!!

Photobucket has been acting up for me today… not sure what the deal was, but I've been trying to upload pictures ALL day!

I think we are pretty set on the idea of going down next spring break!!! I didn't think we'd do two trips so close!!! I know- there are some of you that get to go several times a year- I'm looking at you Jen and Brenda! But this is pretty exciting to me! I figure that if we go in March (college spring break!) that we'll get one more "free trip" out of Catie. So, of course, this all depends on a few things, but we can start the pre-pre-planning of looking at all the different resorts!!!!

I think it officially changed everyone over today and it probably can't handle it because it is so crappy.

Ahh… it has been a pain all day. And of course, TODAY was the best day for me to upload, ya know??? Isn't that always the way?!?! ugh! I finally did make it in there and I'm trying to delete some pictures, because I can't just sit here at the laptop to make sure the upload keeps going.

Good morning! This is the last park day of our trip… How does this always happen so quickly?!?!!?

It was EPCOT day! I was so glad to FINALLY get to EPCOT!!! I KNEW I wanted to get Cortlyn on Soaring, so we were up bright and early!!

We got on the bus and how DARE I do this to my child. I MADE her put her jacket on.

Here are the girls dancing while we are waiting to get in!


While we were in line, we had someone come up and say "GO PANTHERS!" And it kinda shocked us! Apparently, we were in line with some EIU staff and alumni which was fun! We chatted about some Union business stuff and about being at Disney during TG. Nice to be reminded of the "small world" of Disney sometimes!

Finally- it was time to enter! We got in and immediately Corey took all our KTTW cards and started his run to get Soaring FPs. I took my time and decided I would get some PP pictures with the girls!

Then, we saw Goofy andDaisy Dancing out to their spot over to the right so we made our way over there!

First up, I was showing Goofy how cool it was to pose with characters…

She wasn't buying it! And for some reason- neither was Cortlyn???? What was THAT about?!?!!? Did she forget all the other pictures we had with this guy this week!?!?

Anyway, we moved on to Daisy and that was a hit (I think that was Cortlyn's thing- she wanted Daisy first, but she was busy!)

I thought this was one our best character shots with Catie!

Anyway, we decided to jump in line for Spaceship Earth! I thought Corey would be back faster, but he wasn't. Anyway, we all finally got in there- Cortlyn sat with Corey and I had Catie with me.

I stood her up in the seat to make sure that they got her in the picture! And they did!

We played a little bit, but we had to start making our way over to Norway for our breakfast date with some princesses!

We went and checked in at Akershus! We had to stand in line for a bit- which I was kinda surprised by, but it moved fairly quickly. I got Cortlyn's dress on her and realized I had yet again forgotten Catie's Snow White dress. I'm fired!!

We quickly got our picture with Belle:

We were seated in the dining room to the right, near the doorway. I went to get some pastries and fruit for the girls from the "buffet"

Not long after we sat down, they started the Princess walk and Cortlyn thought this was amazing!

She got back to the Table and our first princess was Aurora!

The server brought our breakfast platter… and you know, it tasted fine (they had some turkey sausage for me!) but honestly, this was the least favorite meal of the whole week. The hashbrown stuff was good. I dunno… I think I just wish that there had been more variety. It's not that it was bad- it just didn't wow us.

Catie likes the Bacon!

As we started to eat, Jasmine appeared! We watch a LOT of Aladdin- so we were really excited for her!

Up next? Snow White!

She was so sweet to Catie. I HATE that we forgot her dress!

Ariel was next and she was SO excited when she saw that Cortlyn was wearing HER dress! I guess she doesn't get to see a lot of "Ariel" dresses? She gave the girls extra special attention and I thought she was just gonna pull up a chair to hang out.

We had one more princess walk:

So, overall… we enjoyed the character interaction! I think it was SO much better than CRT as far as getting to know the characters and dancing/walking with them around the place. The food though? Meh… I don't think we will do breakfast again. There are just too many other places with better options, but the characters were so great that we will totally try for lunch or dinner. Again. The food WAS NOT BAD. It just didn't get us excited.

After our breakfast, we walked back over to The Land to take our flight! We went to the CM and asked for the child swap card. I have heard different things- but we didn't have a problem using childswap with FP, but I do know that I've read some people have had issues doing that in the past. We just asked for it and it wasn't a problem! Cortlyn said she wanted to ride with me first.

Verdict? She LOVED it! Corey and Catie wandered around while we were on our ride and then I swapped and took Catie over to wander around the WS. We went to Mexico and found a coloring station!

When Corey and Cortlyn came up, I let Cort color for a few minutes and then we headed down to ride The Three Caballeros ride! I'm not sure that I have actually been on this ride. If I had, it was a VERY long time ago. I THINK this is a picture from being in that…

After Mexico, we went to Malstrom and rode that. That was kinda boring. But it was a ride. Which, can I just say, can we PLEASE get some more rides in WS??? Would it kill them?!?! I do love the WS, but for kids, it would be nice to have some more rides and seems like it would be easy to put in some "fluff" rides throughout WS.

Soon enough, we decided to head back to the resort for our nap. We had BIG plans for the night, so I wanted to make sure we were well rested!

You've been an updating machine. I have yet to have breakfast at Arkerhus, but I kind of heard what you didn. not a lot of food or variety for the cost. I may try it someday, but I have so many other places I want to go to as well, we'll have to see if it fits in.

Just think of it this way, if you had the dress, Catie probably would've told you she didn't want it on.

I wouldn't go making big plans for breakfast there, but the food isn't bad you know? It's just hard to get excited about it when you have so many other delicious places to eat. I can't even blame it being a "character meal" because that's about all we've done is character meals!! Surely Norway has some other yummy breakfast options!?!?!

And you are probably right! She didn't seem to notice at the time- although, NOW she would demand a dress! "I pin-ces!" whenever she sees Cortlyn in dress up!

BW Sorry the busses were not kind to you at BW. They do share with Swan/Dolphin, but when we were there in Dec we did not have any problems with the busses. BW was always the first pick up for MK or AK, so the busses would be empty when they arrived.

Think I have finally read all the updates and I have really enjoyed them.

The girls are sooo sooo cute!

We stayed at AOA in September and really enjoyed it, it is amazing what they did with that place. We hope to stay there again sometime.

The princesses look so sweet! I have two boys but I still would love to take them there sometime ( they are 4 and 18 months) I think my 4 year old would love the attention.
