Hey everyone!
Decided to start my "official" planning journal as my older one has info that is no longer applicable.
Quick Facts:
Jennifer & Joe
Engaged 10/12/07 Disney's California Grill during the Hallowishes fireworks (Cruella Devil song, incidentally!) Perfect window seat and everything....the PERFECT proposal! SO proud of Joe....my ring is gorgeous! And he picked it out all by himself too!
I have a pic somewhere...will post when I find it.
We went back and forth for several months on whether to do an Escape or Custom wedding. Our families reside in Rhode Island so, knowing a destination wedding for everyone would be really tough not to mention a planning nightmare, we at long last settled upon the escape. We had no issues finding the 18 guests either! lol
We are shooting for Sea Breeze Point in August or Early September.
Have not really worked out all the details yet on activities but we would love to try for Ohanna then the Illuminations Dessert Party.
To be honest...I would accept anything so long as it sits on Disney property!
Not a very picky bride at all.
Last October, I asked my cousin and long time best friend to be my MOH. The Disney wedding was no surprise as I have been talking about it for years now. She agreed and her and her daughter (my godchild) were to be my MOH and FG. Splendid!
Then on Christmas day...I received in the mail that I had won a 4 night 5 day trip to WDW including airfare, and park passes. (Disneys Dream it Be it sweepstakes) Of course I would win something I had no use for! We have our annual DVC trip and we are AP holders and I dont fly! lol .
So I offered this to my MOH and FG as an early thank you (I have to pay the taxes on a ARV of 5000.00) She turned it down. In retrospect, that was my first sign (she is not a fan of WDW, god only knows why)
Shortly thereafter, I was sensing some bitterness. Knowing her financial circumstances, I made a very hard choice and told her we were not having bridal party and that immediate family only would attend the ceremony. (so she would not feel bad about dropping out)
So now, I am down a MOH, and FG!
All is good though as I have 2 adorable little Disney girls in my family who plan to be in WDW for the after ceremony activities, with the spots open, I can fit the 2 girls and both of their mothers in the ceremony.
Oh and I have my dress! What a score!
I was not even looking, saw the dress, decided to try it on so I could get an idea on what size dress I am.... It was magical! Perfect dress for my body type, can wear a bra with it too!
I actually bought 2 of them in different sizes just incase!
The material is heavenly, perfect for August in WDW!
Cost: 24.00 (ea)! WOWZA!
I don't really have a color set in stone but I love yellow, sage green, or coral.
Welcome bags!
My mom picked up these fab mesh beach totes from The Christmastree shop for .12 each!
I have started putting together my FG bags already.
So far I have added
Aurora Visors 2.25 ea.
Cinderella Headbands 1.50 ea.
Junglebook magnetic activity set 2.25 ea
(the above items were all on super sale at my local Disney Store!)
Also plan to add to their bags:
Autograph book
Spray fan
Princess Ears
Bibity Bobbity Boutique princess letters
Disney Dollars
Flip Flops
Beach Towel
Nail Polish
Disney Movie they don't have yet
Coloring book / Crayons
Thats all I came up w/ so far.
Well, thats all for now...I have so much more to report. Hands are tired though!
Thanks for stopping by!
