Manicures: French or America, natural or fake??

I got gels done once (French) and loved them but the upkeep is expensive and i'm too hard on my nails so I just have them painted clear most of the time, I do love colours when I get the chance though

Getting my nails done is my one guilty pleasure. Don't know why, just is. Always acrylics, vibrant red color with usually a hand painted or airbrushed design on them. I've had some pretty cool things done on them over the years.

My nails are natural and I usually paint them a deep, rich red. I use OPI nail polish - Malaga Wine or something like that. In the summer I will sometimes use a lighter color, but then DH complains because he loves red nails.

I don't get my nails done; I did get a French manicure for my wedding, though. My nails are kept short, so the white tip wasn't too much, IMO. The manicure was trashed by the time I came back from my honeymoon.

I prefer French manicures and pedicures. I think they look neat, clean, and professional. The color goes with everything! However, my budget only allows a manicure about once a month. So in between I do my own nails with typically a blush or rose OPI polish.

I keep my nails pretty short, all natural.
