Friday 2nd September '11
Finally our family holiday is here !!!
This is Becky's 18th birthday trip, and although it is 6 months late, her main present from us was to bring her boyfriend Luis with us to Orlando for his first trip to WDW
So this evening we will head up the M6 and spend the night in our bargain £10 rooms at the Travelodge at Manchester Airport
Saturday 3rd September '11
We will probably leave our rooms around 7am and take the short drive to Terminal 2 and we will leave our cars at the short stay car park for the next 2 weeks
We will hopefully have done on-line check in the previous day, so we will proceed to Virgin's baggage drop off point, then head up the escalators to security and through to airside
Breakfast may be sausage or bacon rolls, or if me and Paul can lose the kids for a while, we may head to Frankie & Benny's for brekkie (it's too expensive for all of us)
Fingers crossed our flight VS075 will leave on time (11am) and after an uneventful flight we will land at Orlando International just after 3pm (US time)
Once clearing immigration, picking up our luggage and wheeling it through to the main terminal we will pick up our car and head to the Pop Century
Once checked in (where we hope to get rooms near the Computer Pool) we will probably eat in the food court then take the bus to DownTown Disney to pick up our 14 day park tickets, have a wander around the shops and enjoy a Cosmo Paleo Cotton-tini at Trex
Sunday 4th September 11
Our plan is to hit Disney Hollywood Studios for 9am opening. As this is Luiss first visit to WDW and hes a huge Star Wars fan, I would imagine we will ride Star Tours a few times and hopefully get on Tower of Terror and RockNRollerCoaster too
After a sunbathe around lunch-time and a visit to the Florida Mall (according to the girls itinerary), Paul & I will head to the Polynesian to meet Rachel (jjk) and her hubby Pete and perhaps their son Kieran, if the poor lad wants to watch the oldies drink Lapu Lapus, then waffle on about Disney (due to said Lapu Lapus)
After a nice catch up, Paul & I will head to the Monorail and to Epcot for our ADR at Tutto Italia
Monday 5th September 11
Not much planned for today except for morning EMHs at Animal Kingdom. The kids have got a lunch time ADR at the Yak & Yeti
Tuesday 6th September 11
Today were heading to Epcot for morning EMHs. In the afternoon the girls want to go to the Mall at Millenia (I'm not keen on this mall), then in the evening weve got an ADR for dinner at Trex
Wednesday 7th September 11
We will probably hit a park in the morning, then in the afternoon we will head to Port Canaveral and check-in to the Ron Jon's Resort. We've got a 2 bedroom villa, and it looks lovely. We will spend the afternoon chilling by the pool, visiting the Ron Jon store at Cocoa Beach and we'll eat at the resort in the evening
Thursday 8th September 11
We will check out of Ron Jon's and head to the DCL terminal for our first cruise aboard the Disney Dream.
I am so looking forward to spending 3 nights onboard Disneys new ship, checking out all the bars, restaurants and most of all Pink Champagne bar
Friday 9th September 11
The ship will dock in Nassau today, and the kids are looking forward to visiting the Hard Rock Café and Señor Frogs, as Nassau is the only place they can legally get a drink for two weeks
Saturday 10th September 11
Castaway Cay Day !!
Were all looking forward to just chilling at Serenity Bay today (sounds good to me)
Tonight Paul & I have got a reservation at Palo for dinner, we will join the kids at our rotational restaurant (as were on early dining), so we can enjoy some time with them in there before our ressie at 7.30pm
Sunday 11th September 11
We will sadly disembark the Disney Dream. Paul & I havent got any plans, though the kids have mini golf, the Pixar Pals parade, Fantasmic and evening EMHs at the Magic Kingdom planned, not sure how much of that theyll actually do
Monday 12th September 11
Weve got an ADR for breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at the Poly planned, followed by a visit to Typhoon Lagoon and maybe another trip to the Florida Mall
Tuesday 13th September 11
Well drop Kerry & Bex off at Universal, then the rest of us are heading to Kennedy Space Center for the day. We may start off with breakfast at Ponderosa on I-Drive before heading to Cape Canaveral. I'm really looking forward to this visit as we haven't been to KSC for years, plus Luis is a bit of a space nut too (though I'm not sure today will be the highlight of Becky's holiday
)
Wednesday 14th September 11
I think we may have a relaxing day today. Weve got a mid morning ADR at Chef Mickey and not much else planned
Thursday 15th September 11
Well be up early for morning EMHs at the Magic Kingdom today. According to the girls plans we may have yet another visit to the Florida Mall, though I may try my hardest to bribe them away from this idea
In the evening we have an ADR for dinner at Teppan Edo, which will be a first for all the kids
Friday 16th September 11
I think we will head to DHS for normal opening, though after a sunbathe we will have to get on with some washing and packing
Saturday 17th September 11
After doing Virgin DownTown Disney check-in we will probably spend the day at Epcot before flying home tonight
Sunday 18th September 11
Land, back to life, and get on with saving for the next holiday
