Friday 2nd January 09 (High 74F)
We were all up between 6.30 & 7am, bright eyed and bushy tailed and heading to the Disney Hollywood Studios for 8am EMH
First stop was Toy Story Mania, then Paul, Me & Becky picked up fastpasses for Tower of Terror, then we all lined up for RockNRollerCoaster. Thankfully, although the ride said a 60 minute wait, we were actually through in 30 minutes. The girls loved the ride photo, so they bought it
After RnRC, we had breakfast of cakes, danishes, cookies, fruit and juice
After brekkie, me, Paul & Becky rode Tower of Terror, while Kerry and Bex went to have a photopass photo developed, then we left DHS and went to a party store (near the Wal-Mart at Lake Buena Vista) for balloons, decorations and a tiara for Kerrys early 18th Birthday the next day
It was rather cloudy today, but me and Paul still had a lie by the pool, and the girls met up with Chad and Carolin, before heading for the bus to DownTown Disney as they were going to see Marley & Me at the AMC cinema and then going off to Animal Kingdom for evening EMH
While at the pool, Kelly came over and told us that her hubby had been very poorly with bronchitis, and she was just going to leave him sleep for the rest of the day. So Paul & I got changed and asked her if shed like to join us for a few hours at the Magic Kingdom
We knew that the Magic Kingdom would be packed, so we just decided to wander around and take in the atmosphere, and stop off for a Pineapple Float (Mmm)
It was lovely to meet up with Kelly, we had a good chat and took some photos, but it was such a shame that we didnt get to meet up with CW
After the Magic Kingdom, Paul & I took the monorail over to Epcot, as we knew it was Jules & Ians last evening, and we hoped to run into them at the Rose & Crown before they had dinner
We started off with a wine in The Land, and we wandered around the different countries (taking photos of the sunset for Becky who is taking photography at school and she can edit them). So it was rather weird while taking a photo of Norway, we turn around, and there is Jules and Ian getting a drink from my fave White Zinfandel stand on the promenade
We had a good laugh reliving our antics of New Years Eve, and it was good to know that we werent the only ones who had suffered the day before and had lapses in our memory
We joined them with a drink in Norway, and they bought me a birthday drink (for the following week) in Italy, and after a good chat and some more photos we said our goodbyes and they headed off to the Rose & Crown
Paul & I then went to Germany for another glass of wine, then to China for some egg rolls, and finished off with a quick drink in the Rose & Crown before rushing off before IllumiNations finished and the crowds exited
At the Pop, we stopped off at the foodcourt, where we shared a lasagna and breadsticks and had a Mai Tai for a nightcap
