Manda's WISH Journal - time to get moving (comments and encouragement welcome)

My day was pretty good. I decided to start my new goal (tracking food, exercising) a few days early. I tend to wait until a new month or a new week, but I thought I would give myself a few practice days.

I started good. I ate a bunch of smaller meals. I hit the right amount of fiber, but I had WAY too much sodium. It is all over the place! In the turkey lunch meat and beans at dinner. Oh well.

I was doing awesome with my eating, until we took a late night trip to the grocery store and bought a box of little donuts. Then I ate a box of little donuts. almost 700 calories in one swoop. Oh well, I will try again today.

I did get on the treadmill for half an hour after work. I walked a 4 mph for the half hour, and then I broke my treadmill! The incline motor is stuck and just keeps running. Hopefully my handy husband will be able to fix that for me.

So that was day 1. I am hoping I can do better today.
 
I didn't get much done in the way of exercising or even eating right this weekend because I was down with a nasty migraine. :sick: I wish I didn't get those things, they just wipe me out. I don't want to do anything. Running seems like torture.

I do have good news to say the my Wonderful Hubby fixed my treadmill. It is nice to have a handy guy around. I have a date with the TM after work for a half hour of run/walk intervals. Looking forward to it!
 
I did a good job of eating Monday. I stayed in my calorie range, and I wasn't even hungry. I had way too much sodium. Who knew that lunch meat turkey would be so full of it? And I didn't quite make it on fiber, but overall I would say I did good.

I had a great plan to go home and hop right on the treadmill. However I got home just as my DH was leaving and decided to go to the store with him since he was going out to get something for me :-) Well, that and a wedding present for his friend. I wasn't sure I trusted him to pick out a wedding gift. The other thing we bought was a bicycle for me. I only learned how to ride a bike last year, so it isn't a fancy one, but DH wanted me to go riding with him sometimes, just on leisurely cruises, so we got me a bike.

By the time we got home from the store it was totally time to eat. DH was starving, I was hungry too. So we did dinner, then it was dark outside! Oh well. I knew I wouldn't get a bike ride in, but I knew I could still get in 1/2 hour on the TM. Wrong! DH had fixed the TM just on Saturday, but I plugged it in and walked away to get water. When I got back it had put itself at full incline and was trying to go higher. Stupid Treadmill! It was too late by then to go to my gym (closes early) or go outside because it was too dark. So I didn't get any exercise in. I know I could have pulled out a video or something like that, but I was just so bummed about the TM that I lost my desire.

I didn't get up early this morning to run because it is cold and the TM was still going to be broken this morning. We are leaving right after work to go to the wedding, so it will be a hard night. Hopefully tomorrow I will get some good exercise in.
