This is probably old new here now as I haven't been looking at flights since last May - but while pricing out our flights for our upcoming June trip, I discover SWA is only offering 1 direct flight to/from Manchester NH/Orlando now. :worried: We have flown out of MHT for years but the times offered don't work for us- guess we will be looking into flying Jet Blue out of Boston. Not good news. At least DH will get Dunkin Donuts coffee on the flight. :;)

We like to fly out of MHT too so I checked the flights and found a slew of them for June 23. Not sure what date you needed. Give it another try, you may have just had a glitch.

Just reread your post and saw you wanted direct.

Well, that sips a straw... :crazy2:

Looks like there's only 1 nonstop, and 2 direct, with no plane changes. Used to be 4 NS a day. That 1 NS is at a gwdawful hour, too.

Seems to start June 1 ? Might be they're trying to cut back, to squeeze everybody into one flight, rather than have half-empty planes, since school is in session in most of NH until mid-late June.
Maybe they'll expand it again when they release the next batch. Hopefully :confused3

OTOH, we've begun to like JB out of Boston. The airport service, for us, is the same price for either Logan or MHT, so that's a tossup.

City of Manchester has been putting the screws to the airlines to fix their budget problems, At the same time BOS with recession induced reduction in international travel basically gave away the store in BOS just to get more traffic.

Add to that an Airport Director who could not successfully run a lemonaide stand and you have situation which exists today.

It is not just MHT to MCO where the flights are being cut. MHT used to have 40 flights a day on SWA. Starting in Jan there will be 10 flights a day (2 to MCO, 3 to Chicago, and 5 to BWI). Such reductions are happening throughout the system. The reason is that the CEO of SWA has said that there will be no growth until a certain level of profitability is reached. So in order to add flights to some cities, such as at the former AirTran cities, flights have to be taken away other cities.
