Manchester Airport - Escape Lounge?

Interested in any opinions any of you may have who have use the Escape Lounge at Manchester Airport (T2)?

Thinking of booking this in June as a suprise for my DH - it's his birthday!!

What did you think? What snacks etc do they have? Seems to be minimal info out there on the WWW!

we had it included last when we went to Dom republic, we think its good value when you think how much you spend for a rubbish breakfast in the cafeteria. so we are doing it again when we go in may to florida. we had free drinks, there was a lot of choice for snacks i.e danish pastries rolls etc and we found it very relaxing away fom the general hub. we booked with holiday extras

We've been a couple of times.

As Debby has said they serve danish pastries, as well as a range of cereals and toast. They've got various other chilled drinks as well as coffee.

Go on upgrade to Biz class so you can get in.

We can use Air France Executive Lounge this August, can't find much about it. We usually arrive at airport with just enough time to bag drop, security and get to gate to board. Don't know of its worth getting there a little earlier to go in the lounge.

I used an airlines lounge at Leeds Bradford once when travelling biz class (with work) and it was really nice and relaxed. Free drinks and pastries and the daily papers to read.

However, I certainly wouldn't arrive any earlier just to use it as waiting is waiting at the end of the day - but it certainly is a nicer place to stay of you have a delay!
