I took advantage of the low rates at the Courtyard Marriot over this past weekend. While I was glad to be at the World, I didn't experience the same magic. We went to the Boardwalk several times, first to see the Christmas decorations, and a couple of other times just to wistfully look around our home away from home and wish we were staying there instead.
I felt like a poor relation!!
The transportation from the DD resorts sucks. It was a hassle to get anywhere. The resort and room were adequate. And that's about the best thing I can say. The Disney magic was conspicuously missing-- Mickey doesn't call to wake you up, there are none of the special touches that make you realize that you're at Disney World, the DD buses play the *radio* for heavens sake, not Disney music. It just wasn't the same.
I just can't wait until March when I will finally be Home for eight nights! I'm looking forward to trying out those refillable mugs!!
