Mama Murphy LIVE from WDW POFQ/POP/BCV (Bad weather+Flight canceled=Longer trip!!)

I've been working and then just busy today, so I had to catch up, now I have to go back to check the pictures. Great picture of your husband and his brothers, congratulations.
It is amazing how cold it can feel at the parks when the temps go down, nothing is worse than having to leave because you are too cold, glad you were able to get to see and do so many things. Having a car sure spoils you for being able to move around quickly, I can navigate the roads as well as I can navigate through my hometown :rotfl: Sounds like you liked having your car too.
I think you are talking about the Avatar land at AK, I have not seen the movie so I'm not sure how I feel about that. Is the Lion King show on refurb? Or is it still there? I know you may not have gone there alone, but maybe you noticed.
I loved Frozen too! Such a great movie, Elsa was my grandma's name, and my sister's middle name too:) Have fun for your remaining days.

Yes, Avatar land. I took some pics and uploaded them. I loved the movie and I'm sure it will be cool. :)

Lion king ended last week. Lots of stuff seems to be on refurb. Splash mountain is. Casey's corner was closed yesterday. They've got walls up for the new seating area there. Also lots of walls up in other locations. Tomorrowland speedway was closed. Seems to be full swing refurb season at the parks.

Thanks Erika, I don't normally go to WDW in Jan or Feb, so the early refurbs don't bother me. One time we did go and BTMRR was closed:scared1: So unless one of my must do attractions is down I'm ok. Spice road looks so pretty, and having a new place to stop for a treat is fun. It appears that Epcot is taking advantage of putting up places to eat along the water at a rapid pace.

Hopefully you missed the worst days of winter while you were there. Safe travels.

When you peaked in at Anna and Elsa were the lines as crazy as reported( 2+ hours!)
. I didn't see a wait time sign but it didn't look too bad. 3 lanes, probably 60 minutes I would guess.

Oops, posted to the wrong trip report! LOL :rotfl2: This is the current one! :cool1:

I have a question for you....now that you've stayed at a value, moderate and deluxe within days of each other (wouldn't think too many people can say that) do you feel the upgrades that you get at a deluxe or a moderate are worth it? Or is there anything that you didn't really notice before that you do know that you have stayed back to back? Like friendlier staff, better linens, etc? We've never stayed at a value mainly because they don't appeal to me but last week we ate at the Art of Animation food court and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the resort.

There's definitely a huge difference. Of course the value has the least amenities. Full size beds are pretty small. Only 1 sink. Definitely scratchier towels, and only minimal toiletries provided. The fridge is a small square. The room is small. I have always said those rooms are a 2 person max in my opinion. When you compare it to POFQ you gain larger beds, queen size, two sinks, larger fridge, more square footage, etc. Of course when you move up to deluxe you will immediately gain more amenities. Interior walkways and corridors, better toiletries, better towels, softer bedding, more square footage. Ever time you move up a category you will notice an improvement. I always tell people that if you want a pampered vacation experience you will be happiest at a deluxe. If you are just looking for a comfortable place to sleep and shower then the extra amenities at a deluxe resort might not be important to you.

One thing I will say, I think Pop and AoA have excellent bus service and food courts. Those are major perks. The deluxe resorts are very luxurious but don't offer as much for quick dining and almost all share buses. Which can be a huge hassle.
