Mama Melrose's ?

I just wanted to know what people thought about Mama Melrose's. Is it any good? I might eat there when I go to MGM in June depending on what everyone thought of it.

We enjoyed it. It is not exactly fine cuisine, but the quality is along the lines of Olive Garden. The service was wonderful, really exceptional. The food was goos-- had the BEST cheesecake dessert.

If you do a search on this board you will find lots of opinions on Mama Melrose! Some are good and some are bad..

I suggest that you check out the menu and if it appeals to you, give it a try! Everyone has different tastes and what others don't like you may like and vice versa. Go for it if it looks like something you'd enjoy!

Mama Melrose is one of our favorite WDW restaurants! We have eaten there once on each of our last 8 trips and we are even going out of our way on our 1 park day on our next trip to eat there. We love the flat breads (4 cheese and pepperoni), chicken parm, and penne alla vodka.

We picked Mama Melrose for our Fantasmic Package next month. I have been hearing some good things. Never been there before so were anxious to give it a try.

Hi,

I love Mama Melrose. I really only go for lunch though and I am hooked on their calamari. It's really light and crispy and this time they served it with some roasted peppers on the side and they were fantastic and I am not normally a big fan of roasted peppers. There is always a good marinara to dip them in but just lemon is all they really need. That and a green salad and I've had lunch for just over ten dollars.

I've had their chicken pesto flatbread as well and it was quite good.

I thought the food was good. my wife thought it was just ok. The food is good. Not great. If you're planning to do the Fantasmic show. The restaurant is at the far back of the park and the Fantasmic show is at the front. This was our 3rd park of the day and we were pretty tired. It was kind of a hastle to get to get to the show from the restaurant with kids in tow.

It was OK, not great. The calamari appetizer was good. I had the wine flight, which is three 2 oz. glasses of different wines. I also had Veal Osso Bucco, which was mediocre - I thought it was overcooked. The desserts were good.

We had a PS for 6:20 PM, but the kids were hot, tired, and hungry around 5:30 and we got in early which made us all very happy.

We also went in July 2004. We thought the food was pretty good. I remember having some sort of flat bread. I would go again. Service was good and loved the atmosphere of the place with all the celebrity pictures on the wall.

We are Mama Melrose fans. Love the bread and olive oil dip. DH, had a wonderful smoked chicken pasta, and I love the Salmon, last month. Kids meals are decent. All of us enjoyed the flat bread.

Basically if you enjoy the Olive Garden (which we love) then you will also enjoy Mama's. We were able to get a walk up table during our trip this past Dec when we hadn't planned on eating there. We absolutley loved it and have already scheduled a PS there for our July trip. Even my very picky DS asked for the "recipe" for the child's pizza. My DM and I split the chicken parm (best I've ever had) and the bread/dip that comes out is wonderful also.
