So we are 20 days out from our trip! (I honestly just can't wait to go on vacation if I'm being honest)

About us: We're two adults who are going on their first Disney trip as Adults. We're very laid back in the sense we don't need every detail planned out. And honestly, until recently I didn't book any dining reservations because I thought quick service would be fine. But we got a couple recommendations for various sit down places and I've been able to book some.

I know Hollywood Studios is pretty limited on what they have for sit down. I snagged a Mama Melrose lunch reservation for our HS day. The reviews have been okay from what I've seen. Then just today I was able to snag a Hollywood&Vine dinner reservation. The menu looks a little better but didn't know if it would be weird for two adults to go for character dining.

Anyone have insight on food at Mama Melrose or Hollywood&Vine?

Thank you!

I don't think it's weird for adults to do character dining, but if food is your priority I would go with MM out of those 2 options. But really, Hollywood Brown Derby is your best bet for a good meal at DHS :)

My husband and I ate at both on our February adult only anniversary trip. They were both good. I would recommend the Chicken Parm at MM and the Pork Loin at HV. And no, it wasn't weird being 2 adults at a character meal. Mickey even made the effort to wave to my grandson through my phone, Donald blew me kisses and Goofy gave my husband the attention he craved from his spiritual twin.

I personally like MM and would recommend there. And no, it definitely isn't weird! I've gone to character meals with no kids in my party, you will not be the only one. I think character meals are so much fun, it's part of the magic of Disney, and adults need a little magic, too :)

We like the steak at MM - and chocolate cherry torte!
