I'm staying with my boyfriend at the PBH from May 8th till the 12th. I wanted to know if we should do dinner at Mama Della's or if we should have dinner at the Trattoria Pasta Buffet on Saturday night? Suggestions anyone? Pictures maybe? I was considering doing both, both was thinking it might be too similar? Anyway, thanks in advance!

We enjoyed Mama's but felt the food was OK and a little overpriced. We are glad we tried it and would encourage guests to try it at least once. The buffet at Trattoria is decent for the price we paid last summer but this past February, we went on a night that the buffet was not offered and ordered off of the regular menu. We loved it! The Spaghetti was excellent. Mmm... those meatballs were delicious. Mama's definitely has more ambience. We were serenaded at our table (don't forget to tip) which was pretty cool.

My DH and I always have dinner at Mama Della's - it's a must do every trip. Ask for an outside table if the weather is not too hot. We think it is great Italian food. It is not cheap but you are at a resort so nothing is cheap. The staff is always very attentive. We always have an order of the fried calamari, I always have the lasagna or the eggplant entree. My husband always has the spaghetti and meatballs - the meatballs are huge and he says they are great. We have never had dinner at Trattoria Pasta Buffet. We are not buffet lovers so I cannot give you any insight on that one but I would definately try Mama Della's - enjoy and have fun.

The are not similar and we have done both in the same trip before.
Both are good in their own right...enjoy!

We are planning on eating at Mama's on our trip in June, but I would have never thought to tip the singers that serenade you at the table!!!! How much--is $5.00 okay??? Is this a standard thing? I'm so glad you brought this up!
