We're travelling up there the end of March -- I love hitting the LSSs when we take trips like these so . . . I know there are Archivers stores (but I have these at home), but what about "hometown" must see's???

TIA,
Brenda

LynneR is the one to answer this - she took me to one while we were there. And, as for MoA - WOW!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum. My first post, but had to respond to your Mall of America question. MOA is my home shopping center. You'll have a fun time there. As for local Scrapbook Stores, there is a good one in Bloomington called Scrapbooks, Too at 10518 France Ave South. It's about five miles south west of the mall and easy to find. The people working there are very helpful and friendly.

Love this forum. Have been "lurking" for quite some time, but finally decided to register so I can get some ideas from all the helpful people here.

Thanks -- I did have that one on my list. Do you know anything about Scrapbook Shop of St. Paul? That's another one I found digging around online.

No, have not heard of that one, but I am fairly new to scrapbooking also. I'll have to check that one out myself.

I don't know of any more independant scrapbook stores in St. Paul, and of course, there are Archiver's everywhere. My favorite LSS is Scrapbooks Too. Bloom66 already pointed that one out. They have a Disney fanatic on staff and it's the place where everybody knows your name.

Bloom - we'll have to get together there sometime.

Oh - and I'm not saying I'm an expert at locations by any means, I just know that there were a couple in the St. Paul area I used to visit that have gone belly up, and the one closest to my home in Savage, Artsy Tartsy, went out of business in the last month or two. So I would be happy to check anything out if need be. Just doin' my civic duty :)

I just googled the Scrapbook Shop of St. Paul. It is in Circle Pines, which is about 45 minutes to an hour from the MOA area (at least). My brother lives up that way, so I will have to stop by on my way up north!

Welcome! This forum has terrific people on it! Glad you decided to take the plunge -

Lynnr,

Yes, we will have to meet up sometime at Scrapbooks, Too. I live about three minutes from the store. I didn't realize there was a Dis fanatic on staff, but I had noticed they have a lot of Disney related things. I have finished two cruise scrapbooks recently and got a lot of great-looking cruise paper there. They turned out nice. I am in FL right now, but when I get back plan on working on a dancing scrapbook for my daughter who was involved with dance for several years, and also a football & Boy Scout book for my son. Got a lot of dance and football papers at Scrapbooks, Too also. They have a great selection of all kinds of things.

I've been a Disney fan since before it was even built down here. Hubby and I lived in FL while Walt Disney was buying up the land for the park, so as soon as it was all built, we made a bee line done here to see it and have coming ever since. There was one park, and two hotels at the time, so it's changed a lot.
