Hi all,

We are going back to DLRP again in early July and will be having one day at the park ( not going to the studios) on Sat 6th July

We have done a 1 dayer once before, last October but TBH we werent very well prepared lol

So I want to be mega prepared this time :) and i know its going to be soooooooo much busier than it was in oct ,but at keast it should hopefully be warmer too

Dont really want a military schedule to stick to , but just want some hints n tips to make the most of, and get the most out of,a 1 day visit :)

We plan to stay all day ! which I believe is 10am - 11pm !!?

the mistake I think we made last time, was not stopping to have a proper lunch break,we just sort of ate on the go and by mid afternoon were flagging a bit

so we are going to have an hour or so in the middle of the day for a proper sit down lunch break

and then plan to book Cafe Mickeys for 6.pm ish  for evening meal before going back to the park

Any info / advice you can offer will be much appreciated

:goodvibes

The best advice I can give is to get there for opening! :goodvibes

At least you are prepared for it to be busy and the weather will (hopefully LOL) be warmer than your October visit. pixiedust: As it's your second visit you will know your way round and have an idea of what rides/attractions you really want to visit. I always think it's a great idea to stop and have a rest, even if you don't want much to eat it helps to recharge the batteries! :goodvibes

Thanks :)

Yeah i think we were just so excited last time !and wanted to do / see everything all at once lol
we didnt want to waste a second of precious park time

We saw the Lion King show last time that was fab and we def would like to see that again

But i read on another thread about there being a Tarzan show aswell ??

My son has already requested that our first ride be Buzz Lightyear !! he ,well we all loved it ,so competetive :rotfl:

Tarzan Show is great! For me it is always a must see. And you don't need tickets for this show.

But for you as a non-Disney hotel guest a Saturday will be very hard. The park will be open for Disney Hotel quests for EMH from 8am-10am. And when you arrive as regular visitor Fantasyland will already be stuffed.

But you will have a great day anyway. :wizard:

Hi Rachie B:goodvibes

I was in July last year and it was very hot and crowded so planning breaks is a very good idea;) . Also, we went on a oneday trip in october, which was also a very crowded day but we had a fun day and saw everything we wanted. I think the fact that you have already been there is a great advantage because you know where to find what.
We had a rough plan what we wanted to do on that day and what would be most crowded so that we did these attractions first thing in the morning. And we took a long lunch break. We also got to the park before opening so you can already make your way to Buzz. I would try to get to BTMRR or Fantasyland after that if these are things you want to do. You have a long day at the park so you will be fine!
And the Tarzan show is great, I like it better than the Lion King!:wizard:

thanks both :)

Were you there in early july or the end ie UK school holidays ???

I suppose it still gets mega busy anyway with families who have pre school age children or do as we are, and taking the children out for a few days !

it was fairly quiet when we went in October,it wasnt quite half term in the UK and that was a Saturday too.

I cant remember from the last time, but are there water fountains in the park ??? like you get in WDW ??

Isma and Rachie B you should keep two things in mind that have changed since last July.
Now you can only hold one FP at the time.
And now there are EMH in the morning on Saturdays. So when they will get into the park by 10am Fantasyland and Discoveryland will already be very crowded.

I think that is your key advice especially with EMH as Marcus has already said. Therefore Fantasyland might be better to do while parades are on and therefore aim for Buzz, BTM and some of the busier rides earlier in the day. Eating outwith the busier times at lunch and dinner time may help :)

Thanks both :)

yes we are going to be there for opening

well earlier ,like we did last time.we got there a bit earlier so had a wander round the village first

cant wait to go back
