Hi all,

We depart for Orlando, September 8th. Myself and my girlfriend on our trip to Orlando. She has been before, but its my first time, and our first trip as a couple. We are staying at All stars movies and flying into Orlando International.

I am looking at making the arrival as special as can be to mark the start of our first holiday together, I've browsed for a while and noticed you can get gifts delivered to your room, Limo pick ups from the airport etc and these both seem great ideas.

Can anyone assist me with the best places to book such things? Good quality and price etc.

Thanks in advance

Hi

We've used Memories By Betsy before and have been really impressed. We fly out on Friday and Betsy has put together 2 beautiful gift baskets for my niece and nephew.

I'd use the magical express to get to disney - I was really looking forward to that bit and would have been disapointed to have been suprised with a limo!

I think the disney florist can arrange for gifts to be in a room when you arrive.

What is this?

For our honeymoon we took up the option of upgrading to PE at the airport, we get lucky and it as only £100 or so each I'm sure as they weren't full.

Definitely was worth it for us but I think we just got lucky with the price

As you are flying into orlando international and staying at disney you can use the magical express for free. You just need to call disney and add it to your booking.

It's just a coach (blue and cream colour) but they play a disney welcome film on board.

We stayed at All star movies on our last trip and really liked it.

The maids left towel animals in the room aswell - my DD loved the towel in the window made to look like a vase with pipecleaner flowers when we arrived.

Spend on extras if you want but for a first trip I think being there is exciting enough. You can then use the money to maybe have a shopping spree or a special meal etc.

If you do book transfers to/from the airport I would recommend FL tours - they were excellent and I'd say a town car is just as good as a limo - you'll be pretty tired by the time you get to Orlando. Also they will stop at a grocery store if you want to - very handy :thumbsup2

my DH booked a number of 'squrril secrets' for our honeymoon which was a few years ago, which i didn't have a clue about and he gave them to me one by one throughout our trip such as dinner reservations at Victoria and Alberts in the Grand Floridian, dinner with an imagineer and the segway tour around epcot. that made our trip extra special instead of just something for your arrival.

my in laws arranged for the flowers in our room which were lovely, but it was such a shame to leave them (we had orchids) when we left 2 weeks later as they were still very much alive! we also were not in our room enough to appreciate them.

you could ask the reception people when you check in if they could arrange some magic for you when you get there (not sure how you would do it before hand) by asking for a signed photo of your girlfriends fav character - they arranegd this for us on our anniversary trip and got one of mickey and minnie and a winnie the pooh one too :)

overall however as it's your first trip together, i agree that it is special enough just to enjoy the disney magic as a pair :lovestruc

have fun :goodvibes
