I am also making ressies today or tommorow using the entertainment member rates. I will be going in March. I am also trying to decide between Portofino and HRH.

I spoke with a reservationist at Loews and she said the pool at HRH is bigger and more "fun" than Port. It also has the sandy beach area. This is important to me, as we will be traveling with 3 children under 6yrs of age. (We will be spending LOTS of time at the pool).

Obviously the rates are better at HRH. I was quoted $129.50 for pool view at HRH and $187.50 for bay view at Port. (These were entertainment member rates)

I would go HRH. Especially, because it will still be brandnew yet, many of the kinks will have been worked out after 9mos. It sounds as if it may have some great themeing and more laid back. Have a great time!!!! It would be great if you could be there for the Halloween Stuff!
