We are a party of 4 people listed on our room reservation. However we have 2 friends that are also coming down during the same timeframe and I would like to include them on our dining reservations. Our 4 will be on the dining plan and the other 2 will be paying out of pocket. My question is can I make my reservations for 6 people even though we are all not on the same plan?

I just did almost the same thing. My BIL and his family are joining us halfway through our trip, so half my reservations were made for 4 and the other half were made for 7. They never asked if the extra people were on the DDP or not. I'm sure you can sort that out at the restaurant.

Yes, you can add them without a problem. We dined with friends who live in the area on our last trip and had no issues. We just stated that we were on the dining plan, while our friends were not, and would like separate checks. Also, you can divide your credits however you like, meaning you can pay with cash/credit card for some meals at a restaurant, while the rest of your party uses credits.

Yes that is fine.

My bff always meets us at a restaurant while we are there, as she lives in the Orlando area.

So I just ask her who is coming with her (she has 4 kids) and make the adr based on us and her and which kids are coming.
It is always fine. Just make sure your friends know to be early, as if they are late the restaurant won't seat you and you could lose your adr. (this happened to us).

At the table, just let the server know who is on what bill and how that bill will be paid, no problem there either.

Enjoy!!

I did that for a lot of our ADRs last year because my Dad and Stepmom live in FL and joined us for a few days. No problem making or keeping the ADRs

I think the only time you'd have an issue is if you had to pre-pay (CRT for example). But you can call and get 4 on the DDP (no-prepay) and just pre-pay for the 2 NOT on the DDP.
