Normally I always call the dining line at 7am (when I am 180 days out - for stays less than that I just book online)

Should I continue to do this? Is it easier? Or should I do it online? If I do the online route what is the earliest time on Saturday I can do this...12:01 am or do I have to wait until 7am like when I call?

Many thanks in advance!

I made mine this morning online at 6:00am and got everything I wanted. The only thing I ended up having to call for was HDDR. That wasn't showing up online. It was done in about 20 minutes.

ETA: I think 6:00 am is when you can make them.

Thank you so much!

I think I am going to do it online but the thought of getting up at 6am on my day off is blech!

I made mine online at 6 am (3 am my time). I am soooooo glad that I did. By 7 am (EST) when my friend phoned her's in, she could not get some of the popular ones such as the F! package which I was able to get. I know that it is not fun to get up, but you will be so happy that you did when you are on your trip! :goodvibes

I did mine this morning at 6am as well and got everything I wanted. It didn't go without a hitch, but after I went out and signed in 2 more times (argh) it finally worked for me.

Even Le Cellier was available for a 1:00 lunch, which I ended up not taking.

Good luck!

I was able to get LeCellier for a party of 9 at 7:40 for one of our nights. And that wasn't until after I got to work and did a few things, so maybe 8:30ish. I was really surprised. I have tried several trips to get in there and not been able to.

I did have to call in for the HDDR which was not showing available for booking except on the first day. I guess the +10 wasn't or doesn't work for that. But no sweat I just called in when I got to work and got it no problems.

I did have a problem getting a 9:00am breakfast at Kona for a party of 9, so I booked two, one for a party of 4 and one for a party of 5. If we get split up there its no big deal. I'm just hoping they don't purge them as duplicates. I would be surprised if they are that busy though. Last trip DD and I walked in twice for breakfast there with no ADR at all and they were far from full. In fact they had more tables open then seated. So I'm not overly worried.

OP if you don't find what you need online, make sure you call in and check also. I have found several times that they had something on the phone that wasn't showin up online and vice versa.

I prefer the online system. I only call if it's something that you can't book online or if the online system isn't working (but when that happened on my 180 day the phone system wasn't working either so I just waited until online was back up).

i think i'm faster than the people on the phone :rotfl2:

i get very anxious if i get a slower castmember so i do what i can early in the morning, then call for the ones that need my dining plan # (like CRT/HDDR)

good luck!

I think I am going to set the alarm and get up early and just do the online system..I prefer that anyways. You can get a slow CM or their systems are down or slow.

This way I can book LC first and have piece of mind :lmao: The one meal I am looking forward to is the new signature at Le Cellier.

Now if I could just get my husband to help me finalize our places life would be perfect :rotfl:

He will just change his mind when you get there!

I love the online system ... when I did mine in February, the system wouldn't work until right at 6am and I had to use IE as my browser. At 5:59, it wouldn't let me confirm. Once I was up and running on IE and it was 6, I breezed right thru including Cali Grille for Wishes, Le Cellier (lunch, not dinner) and the Fantasmic! package. Got everything we wanted within 15-20 minutes of our requested times and I think the difference in times was primarily due to the seating times at the restaurants, not that my time was taken.

Good luck! I can't wait to hear where you & Todd are going to eat!

I made my first ever Disney restaurant reservation last week for our post wedding family meal...I have to say the online system was very easy and I'll be using it later to book more meals :surfweb:

I am finding it very easy to book my Oct. ressies this year. I've gotten Ohana, Lecellier, Cali grill with no problems!:banana:Does anyone agree with me that availability is wide open??
Hopefully this means low bookings and if this is the case, Disney might just offer free dining or room discounts to entice us!! Keeping my fingers crossed!!:wizard:

I got everything I wanted at or very close to the times I wanted and I was booking for a party of 9. I got LeCellier dinner, Ohana, Crystal Palace (8:05) and Tusker House (could have had 8:00 but opted for 8:15) and
CA Grill for wishes. (I always book this about an hour and a half before wishes and then check in early and request a window seat and have gotten my request every time!)

I had to use the online system last week because I was in China on my 180 day date! Can you imagine that phone bill! The time difference was nice in that I could do it at dinnertime there, not 3 a.m. like if I were here at home.

I got online probably about 8 a.m. WDW time and got everything I wanted for a party of 6, each within a half-hour of what I wanted. But I also didn't have any hot-ticket ADRs.

for both of our upcoming trips, I did the reservations online at 180 days or so and not first thing in the morning and got was I wanted including Lecellier for lunch and fantasmic package. I have yet to call Disney to make a reservation as I've always had what I wanted when I wanted it online. If you have problems log in to Disney site with Explorer, try firefox and vise versa.

One advantage I find using the online system is you get a printed confirmation number. Getting the confirmation number over the phone is usually correct, but with only verbal communication a mistake can be made. I like having the printed confirmation number and information on the ADR's.

Had trouble online this morning booking days that were more than 180 out during a 10 day stretch. Liners on chat confirmed that they too had a spot of trouble mid morning. Gave up and called and ended up with everything we wanted give or take half an hour.

I wouldn't say it's "wide open", depending on what time of day you eat your meals. I had trouble getting earliest character breakfasts and forget Garden Grill, couldn't get anything in our time frame.

I've been using the online ADR system since it's been available, and I love it, I've yet to have a problem with it! I did my October ADR's at the beginning of the month, and the only thing I couldn't get was 'Ohana for my arrival night! :confused3 And I'm going to keep stalking that one, hopefully by October someone will have cancelled! :cool1:

Well I did it, booked all my ressies online at 6am and I was able to get Le Cellier and Cali Grill and the Garden Tea Room all online! WOO HOO! No calling needed, I love this online system!

I still need to call back tomorrow morning to book our departure day, I think that is my 11th day and it will not book it for me....
