Making Memories kits and jars filled with embellishments - CLEARANCE at Michael's

I was at Michael's today and they had their regular price $39.99 MM kits and the MM sets of glass jars full of embellishments for $9 on clearnace.

I bought two sets of jars.

I bought three kits of the "make 3" books with all the supplies.

I'm so happy!

Oooohhh. You're going to get me in so much trouble. I have to go there this weekend to get some swapping materials. Now I'm going to have to look for these as well. And follow up on the clear stamps thing......

ours had been at $19 forever as well. Seriously. And I thought about it several times.....buying them at $19, but I didn't.

Today, Michael's had 30% off coupon good on your entire regular priced purchase. I went to pick up a few things. Surprisingly, there weren't oo many people there shopping. Maybe people are away for the holiday weekend.

I went and I was shocked that they were down to 9$! I resisted the jars, bought the foam stamp set instead, I really like the large alpha that's in there as well as the "dance" stamp. they also had a few album kits which I left there. thanks for the tip. maggie

I got a couple of sets of the jars. They weren't marked but DH was with me and he decided to just go and ask. I was shy about it (I have no idea why). Then we went to Joann's and he saw the Once Upon a Time stuff and wanted me to buy it to use. I spend so much more when he comes in the stores with me because he is like - just buy it to everything I think about. I would go broke if I took him often.

Sometimes that's WHY I take him.

I have been in my vacation spending freeze. And I've been pretty good about it, I was in Michael's twice this week and I did not use my 50% off coupon, nor did I use the 30% off your total purchase today when I went in to buy one skein of floss. Ours still had some of those MM kits, but they were marked $19.99 and I was being good, so I didn't check the price.

However, last weekend, after spending a fortune on cruise clothes, we went into JoAnn's and they had the Once Upon a Time paper pack. I showed it to DH and he really liked it (I knew he would), and he said, "Don't you have a 40% coupon?" And I said I did, but did he not notice how much I just spent. He said it was okay. It's a good thing I figured out that trick to using the fancy paper without covering it, because some of those pages I don't know what I would do. One month and a week, until we leave, and then I can get back to no guilt shopping, and signing up for swaps!

I went to do that and found that 2 of the jars in the set were broke so I combined everything so it all fit in the jars I had. Except for the ibbon none of it fits 2 full jars into one of them even when you pull out the cushioning.

My Mike's had virtually nothing on clearance. LAME! A lot of paper, but not much else. I don't have a Cricut either, so I didn't even look at them to see what the price was today. I did get a scrapbook kit for $9. Yippee!
