I am at about 179 days from my January trip. I pretty much have my ADRs figured out, but wanted to wait until after I go in September with free dining to see if there was something I would like to do differently in January. I don't like changing ADRs once I book them if possible because I get paranoid that something is going to get messed up. Do you think it will be alright to make January ADRs in September???

My way of thinking is this, if you know you are going and you know which places you want now then book the reservations...you can always try to change them later.

Better to have something you want reserved then being on the outside looking in

Why not just make your ADRs then when you return you can tweak some of them. Our last trip in May I was not happy with Spoodles and Cape May and returned and canceled them from my August and October trips that I already had reserved earlier. I often fine tune my ADRs, but it's always great to have them started, esp. the hard to get ones. We will be there Jan. 27-Feb. 3 and I'll be calling at my 180 (July 31) to get started on that trip's ADRs.

It depends on where you want to eat. Le Cellier and Cindy's can still be a bit difficult to get for January. Others may not be so tough.

I just booked my January ADRS today - Le Cellier, Coral Reef, OHana, Teppan Edo (new Teppanyaki) and Narcooses. I am excited! :cool1:

And, I will probably change some of those around. But, I wanted them just in case I get busy and forget to make changes. At least this way, I have them set.

I understand what you're saying about wanting to make minimal changes in case of a mess up somewhere- so I guess I'd make the ones I couldn't go without and tweak from there.

I would make your ADRs for the places you THINK you'll want to eat at NOW and then make changes as necessary when you get back from your September trip. You really don't want to get stuck with very little to choose from.

I would make your ADRs now and tweak them when I got back. I have never had a problem with my ADRs even after I change them (and I change my ADR list A LOT ;) ). Just make sure you take down the ADR number.

I have a Dining spreadsheet I made up to keep track of all that stuff and I take it with me in my backpack to the parks (or where ever I am going). It helps a lot because I keep everything catergorized (TS, CS, Snack, OOP). :goodvibes

I made the 2 that I knew we wanted for sure (California Grill and Ohana) this morning at 180 days. We will decide where else we want and make those in the next month or so.
