UNCLE JOHN SAYS:
While at Nicole's they had company over for the evening.....
While we were all sitting there with cocktails solving world problems: World peace, religion, politics, poverty etc.....Owen came in the room and said something about Disney....The guests said "We went to Disney awhile back, we went with some real Disney addicts, they knew everything about Disney".......Tom pointed over at Nicole....Nicole then pointed at me.........I think we were both proud!!!!! Some people just dont understand!!!

BTW, Tom did thank me for showing Nicole this site!!! For some reason I didnt think he was serious.......hmmmmm!!!!

Thanks for putting up with Tom's side of the family!

I just love this TR. Your kids are too adorable.

Thanks ~ I think the little buggers are pretty cute too! And :welcome: !

Merry
Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas Tat! Hope it was fabulous at your house!

Oh my word! Hi Smidgy!!! Welcome to my TR!!! :woohoo: Everyone... meet Smidgy... she is otherwise known as Mrs. Nebo!

This was our first visit to Casey's as well... I thought it was good. Nebo should have tried the corn dog nuggets ~ being the corn dog lover that he is! Or would that have just not lived up to the whole dog on the stick? :confused3

Merry Christmas!!!

Hope Santa was good to Your Family!!!

:santa:

Thanks DDad! Santa was pretty good to us... hope he was equally as good to you and your's.

Merry Christmas Love :santa:

Merry Christmas Orangie!!! I hope you had a good day!

It's tough to get computer time with all the kids and the hubby at home so I'm not sure when I'll get to an update! I will try to soon though... bear with me!

Love out! :hippie:

Hey Love!!

Hope you had a great Christmas!!

Uncle John, can't wait to hear about the kids version of Disney:goodvibes

I love people watching and I know exactly what you are saying:rotfl2:

UPDATE HERE!!

Still Sunday at MK~

When I left off we were headed into Adventureland. Right after we walked over the bridge we saw that King Louie was out and the boys got in line with Tom while Abby and I found a shady spot to sit and wait. While they were waiting to meet Louie, Baloo came out to join them! Bonus! :thumbsup2

Once we regrouped our plan was to go to pirate: POTC pirate: and get fast passes and then backtrack to ride the Jungle Cruise. When we got to Pirates there was a 10 minute wait so we basically walked right on! Woo hoo! Loving this walking right on business! :cool1:

I loved this ride! The kids loved it too! Have you ever heard that this ride is haunted? I read on that secrets thread that supposedly the ride is haunted and that if you shout something 3 times when you take the dip in the dark that something will happen. Only I couldn’t remember what you were supposed to yell! Oh well… no ghosts for us ~ just a really fun ride through a movie that we all know and love!

After the ride we wandered through the gift shop ~ of course! The boys really wanted a sword but I really didn’t want to carry them the rest of the day so we promised we’d come back later on. When we came out of the shop there was a photopass guy taking pictures and he was just finishing up with 2 kids so we hopped in when he was done with them. It’s a picture of the boys holding swords and through the magic of photopass, they are warding off Captain Hook. It’s really cute! ::yes:: But you’ll have to take my word for it because I haven’t ordered the CD yet! I will though and when it arrives I will do a bonus photopass update!

Next we headed back to the Jungle Cruise and found a 10 minute wait for that as well. I think we waited the full 10 minutes and maybe even a little more. While we were in line a woman asked me where I got my “I’m the Mom! Feel free to treat me like a Queen” shirt. I proudly said I made it! She was impressed but also a little disappointed cuz she wanted one! Sorry sister!

Our cruise was fun, of course! I took a picture of our cute captain and she gladly posed for me.

IMG_0801.jpg

This was our first time on this ride and I loved all the corny jokes! :lmao: I don’t know if you hear the same jokes every time or what but there was one part where she said “Hit the deck!” and Evan and Owen did! It was really funny to see them come up and realize it was just part of the ride and I was relieved that it didn’t bother either one of them to be a bit embarrassed! More Disney magic at work. :cloud9:

When we came off the cruise we stopped at an ice cream cart and got a treat. Evan, Abby and I had a mickey head bar. Owen had an itsakadoozie and Tom had a mickey ice cream sandwich. We found some benches to sit on and had our snack. Here are the boys enjoying their treat and wearing those ears I was telling ya'll about earlier. So cute!

IMG_0803.jpg

While we were sitting there a pirate came out and started setting up for Captain Jack’s show. We had a pretty good view so we stayed put and watched. Once all the passersby realized what was up though our view greatly diminished! When I was done with my bar I got up and walked over and snapped a couple pics.

IMG_0802.jpg

When I got back to the bench and sat down I noticed I had some chocolate on my arm. Then I noticed I also had it ALL OVER THE FRONT OF MY SHIRT! Nice… really nice. Nothing like having chocolate all over yourself out in public! We got out the tide stick and the oxy clean spray and the shout wipes (I was prepared!) and got to work on my shirt. I still can’t believe it but we got it all out! That oxy spray is the BOMB! I found it next to the tide sticks at Target and I highly recommend it! :thumbsup2

Once I was all cleaned up we mosied over to BTMRR and found a 30 minute wait so we got fast passes. We discussed what to do in the meantime and decided to ride the train all the way around the park and then use our fast passes. We got on the train and sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. :rolleyes1 Finally one of the conductors said we were waiting for the parade and it would be another 15 to 20 minutes and the ride around is something like 20 minutes and we just didn’t want to “waste” that much time. So we got off and headed to Haunted Mansion figuring we’d get fast passes for that as soon as we could, head back and ride BTMRR and then back to HM! :scared: NO WONDER my ankle was killing me! We first had to visit a restroom so we went into the one just past HM, right near Peter Pan. When we got to HM there was a 5 minute wait! Yay! :yay:

I was a little worried the boys might be scared and I was right to be. As soon as they cut the lights in the shrinking room Evan started saying he didn’t want to do it. Loudly. :sad2: And he continued to whine and started to cry when we were going to get into buggies. I took him and Owen by the hand and dragged them on! Yes, I know… mother of the year! I knew he’d be fine though. He loves the movie! So I started pointing things out and making light of everything and soon he was fine and actually did enjoy the ride. Just so you know… he wasn’t really crying and I didn’t drag them on kicking and screaming ~ there was “mild” protest with “trying to cry” crying. I wouldn’t have made them do something I knew they’d be terrified by. I knew once they got over the initial fright they’d be fine. And they were! By the end when the ghost appeared in our cart, and in the mirror it looked like I turned into the ghost, they were cracking up laughing! We walked back outside and they were walking a little taller because they were so proud of themselves! We also found a hundred or so people in line! It pays to ride during a parade!

We then went back to use our fast passes on BTMRR. What a blast that ride is! So much fun! We all loved it and vowed we’d ride it again at MVMCP. By now I was in some serious pain though. We thought it was a good time for me to sit so we headed to the train again. We got on and rode it all the way around. Along the way Tom and I decided we would call it a day, knowing that we were coming back for the party on Tuesday and also because Gramma was due to join us sometime this evening. We got off at the main gate, headed out and caught a ferry just in time back to the TTC. Tom was telling the boys that Uncle John wants to retire and move to WDW and be a ferry boat captain. They thought Uncle John has a good plan! We were back in the car at 4:00.

As we were driving out we somehow missed a turn or something because we saw this AGAIN!

IMG_0625.jpg

I have no idea how we ended up where we did but we got an unplanned tour of downtown Celebration and somehow came out just north of our condo. It was almost a quarter of 5:00 and the kids were hungry. We ate an early dinner at Applebee’s. I ordered a Bahama Mama, I think, and pretty soon the waitress comes out with two of them. She said, “Here are your drinks.” I said, “Okay, but I only ordered one!” She tells me it is 2 for one night! I comment to Tom that I can’t drink both of those. HA! I left that place with 2 Bahama Mama’s sloshing around my belly and feeling no pain.

We headed back to the condo and chilled out watching TV ~ all of us in different rooms! Tom went down to lobby to see when we might be able to get our wireless connection in the room. I also took a few calls from my mom telling us how she was coming along on her drive over. When she got close I was trying to talk her into where we were and she was getting very annoyed with me. Tom took matters into his own hands and went downstairs and flagged her down. The kids were so excited to give her the grand tour and she was just as impressed as we were!

YAY! :yay: Gramma’s here! Next up… Animal Kingdom and my mom’s first dose of Disney magic!

Glad to hear your army of cleaning supplies worked!

sounds like a fun day except for the chocolate everywhere. good thing it all came out.
the walk ons sound great. I hope I can have that too.
the pics were great.

Yeah Nicole! Another update. Glad your tide pen/oxy thing came through. I dont leave home without them. I remember the first time my mom "dragged" me on to HH, I was five and swore I would hate it. It has been one of my favorites ever since. Mom's always know best!

How did you manage to get chocolate all over yourself? Did you miss your mouth?:lmao: Glad it came out, though.:thumbsup2

I can't believe you only had a 5 minute wait for Haunted Mansion! That's unusual.:yay:

I love Applebee's. I took the kids there today! I wish I would have had the 2 for 1 thing. I had a Mudslide and it was soooooooo good! I highly recommend them!

Can't wait to hear about Gramma and AK!:goodvibes

My best guess is a chunk of the chocolate fell off the bar and landed on my shirt! :sad2:

Guess I should upload more pics huh? Oh! I ordered my photopass CD today and have already gotten an e-mail that it shipped and I should get it next Wednesday! :cool1:

Yeah, another update!! You da Bomb:cool1:

I am glad your oxy clean spray worked...I could have used some of that tnite, don't ask:lmao:

Great update!!! Awesome pics, of course.

I Loved the boys Mickey Ears. They are so cute. I Love how colorful they are.

That is great that everything was a walk on:thumbsup2

Glad your boys ended up enjoying Haunted Mansion.

You made me curious on POTC being haunted....Did you say that was a fast pass ride? Is that something new?

Can;t wait to hear all about gramms first dose of Disney Magic:goodvibes

Nicole,
Great update. That picture of the boys with their matching ears is adorable. I would have made them ride HM too, it's a fun ride and not really scary. I have never heard anyone really screaming in there except teenagers being annoying. I have never seen King Louie and Baloo at MK. I will be looking for them in March, DS loves Jungle Book. Glad your Oxy spray and tide pen worked for you. I'll be sure to pack them in my Baggalini.

Lovin the update LOve :lmao:

The boys hats are very cute, too funny you dragged them on HM and even funnier that you got "lost" again. I could be reading my own trip report. Everyday we made it fine going to the parks, but everynight we got lost on the way back to the condo.;)

Glad to hear your army of cleaning supplies worked!

Me too! Although I could've gotten a new shirt outta the deal... maybe I didn't play that hand too well!

Walking on is a wonderful thing! Now that we've been spoiled I don't know if I could do the parks crowded ever again! That kinda rules out free dining though!

Oh good... you turned out to be a Disney-loving adult so maybe I didn't scar them afterall! :thumbsup2

Yeah, another update!! You da Bomb:cool1:

Can't you get fast passes for POTC? :confused3 I just assumed... you know what they say about "when you assume..." :rotfl2:

I'll have to go looking on that secrets thread again and see if I can find the post about it being haunted... something about someone died during construction and you yell out his name or something like that. I'll see if I can find it.

Nicole,

Good... more support of me making the boys go on HM! Love that validation... thank you! And they did really like it! Although later when I asked if they wanted to ride it again they both piped up with a hearty NO!

That Oxy clean spray stuff is amazing!!! The tide stick alone woud not have gotten it out. First saturate with the spray... then scrub with the tide stick... then blot with the shout wipe. There you go... Nicole's laundry tip of the day! ;)

Lovin the update LOve :lmao:

Gotta watch those signs! You have no idea how many times I have heard that I am a terrible co-pilot! :sad2:

Great update Nicole as usual. :thumbsup2

Love the Mickey ears - haven't seen those before.

My dad wants to retire and be a ferry boat captain also! :sail:

Glad your boys weren't traumatized by the HM. I wanted to take Sam when she was 5 but she was terrified I just couldn't do it. Then, when she was 6 I dragged her on - she was fine because I told her what to expect before hand and made jokes with her the whole time. Now she enjoys the ride. :)

Looking forward to AK day with Grandma! :cool1:

UNCLE JOHN SAYS:
Great Update!!!! Thanks I needed that. It reminds me why I go to work, so I can pay for another vacation!!!!!!

Tide sticks, you must get that from your sister.....HA!
I have never seen FP for POTC......just a recommendation to always take the line to the left.....its a shorter distance to get to the boats...

I love the Jungle cruise comedy.....I usually laugh very loud:rotfl: , grumpsters just roll their eyes to the jokes.:sad2: ..... I love the hidden mickey on the side of the airplane body.....one of my all time favorites. Did you get a picture of the back side of the falls???

I'm very glad the boys loved HM. Tell them Uncle John is proud of them, Abby too!! I wish I knew if they just did a refurb. or changed it somehow?? If they changed it, we have to go back!!! I try to get the ghost buggy attendants to smile, they never do!! (I couldnt do that job!!)

Sounds like a great day at MK!! No wait lines ROCK!!!

On snacks: you missed the Nestle toll house cookie ice cream samiches....They are AWESOME.....Cookies stay soft......MMM GOOD (its the simple things in life!!)

THANKS AGAIN!!:thumbsup2
