Making FP+ for family arriving at different times

I'm going to WDW with my extended family (9 of us in all). We will want to do most FPs together for the days we overlap and I am in charge of choosing/coordinating them.

Here is our scenario;

My parents arrive on March 2nd
We arrive March 5th
My ILs arrive March 8th

We are all staying on site with seperate reservations, but connected via MDE friends and family.

Will we be able to make all of our FP+s for the whole group starting 60 days out of my parents window? For example, using my fathers account, could we book 9 FP+ for Mine Train on March 11th 60 days prior to his arrival? Or do we book as each reservation's window becomes open?

TIA

@Minniemoo15 ~ Did everyone book packages or link their own tickets separately?

If packages, you have to be 60 days out from each package. Separate tickets, your father can book for the complete group, when his window opens.

We have packages. Darn.

The only one I'm worried about is FEA. The day we want 9 FP+ for FEA is my parents 8th day, our 5th day, but only the 2nd day for my ILs.

Am I better off booking each group seperately as the windows open for overlapping times, and hoping there are 2 left for my ILs that coordinate with our times?

Or is the availability good enough that I could get 9 all together by waiting until my ILs booking opens?

No, definitely don't wait.

When your parents' window opens, go to day #8 for them and check if the system will allow you to book for everyone. It may or may not allow booking for the total group considering everyone is linked. If the system doesn't allow booking for all, do the following:

Have parents book first for the preferred FEA date and time. When your window opens, go into your parent's booked FP and attempt to Change Party to add your family. If the system won't add you, search for an overlapping time. If you have an overlapping time, then search for an overlapping time when your IL's window opens... don't try Change Party for them.

Monkey wrench: my ILs are now thinking they will NOT book a pkg as it is more $$ for them to do so.

If they book their tickets+room separately but I book a package, can I make their FP+ at my opening window?

Man, this is confusing :sad2:

If they link tickets separately and not as a package, your parents can book for them when they book for themselves.

So, with the first window opening, your parents will select parents + in laws when booking FPs. You and your family will be the last to book.

That is fantastic, we should have no problem getting FEA now! Thank you so much!
