Making copis of photos...

Does anyone know if you can make copies of pics that were taken by WDW at on the Kodak Picture Maker machines? I would love to make some copies of the one we bought of our family at HDDR. It doesn't have any copyright info on the back of it, but it is printed on Kodak Professional Picture paper.

If you can't make copies if them, is there anyway you can order reprints? There isn't any type of identifying number on them, so I figure you can't but thought it was worth asking if any of you knew.

do you have a scanner? You could just scan the picture into your computer and print it out on photo paper. maggie

You're talking about the pics that WDW takes? In front of the castle, etc? Legally? No, they're copyrigted. You could try it and see what happens.

Scanning is your best best.

While it is true any of these professionally taken photos are copyrighted, before giving up I would contact guest services at WDW. Ask them if they have a release.

The cruise line (and granted those photog services are contracted - not sure about at WDW) makes it very easy to get a release for reprints. There is a website you just download from.

The idea being they want as MANY copies of those pics out there as a form of promotion.

If there isn't a release then most of the places that have the Picture Makers aren't going to let you make copies. I've even had to "convince" some of these folks when making reprints of some of my own pictures (stuff I took) that they were mine! I keep telling myself I should make the investment in a better scanner and photo quality printer but so far haven't done so.
