making changes to the number of days you stay

HI, Can I make changes to my Disney trip (I want to increase at the end and take off two days at the beginning)? Will I get the same rate? How can I do this if I booked with an agent?

You ususally must contact the agent. Disney won't deal directly with you unless the agent has released the reservation to you. Also, you can't just make a change. There has to be enough days for a whole new reservation and the rate is still available for those new days.

1. The entire length of your new reservation needs to be available because Disney changed their methodology and it is no longer easy to just add/drop nights. If the entire length is not available you might have to consider making two separate reservations to cover all the nights.

2. Depends on if you booked with a special offer. If it is a discounted rate all the nights have to be included, there needs to be availability and the special hasn't expired.

3. You will have to contact the agent because they own your reservation and Disney will only talk to the agent.

so, it looks like all the dates are gone with our pin...if I want to delete a night at the beginning and add it to the end, will I lose our special rate? I know I might have one night where I pay the higher price (the last night) but how about the rest?

Nobody can answer that, your TA will have to find out for you. If the offer is no longer good, you may likely lose the rate. They won't let you delete a night at the beginning and add it to the end, they stopped that awhile back. The entire reservation has to be available as a new booking in order to change it.

As I said above, you cannot just add/delete nights any more. All of the nights for your new reservation have to be available. For example, if your current res is for June 5 - 10, but you want to change it to June 6 - 12, the entire June 6 - 12 has to be available as an entirely new reservation. The fact that your current reservation includes some of those nights does not count. Whether you'll be able to keep your current rate will depend on whether there are still rooms available under that pin. Only your agent will know when talking to Disney.
