I'm inspired by a thread on the Budget Board and am thinking about making aprons for some of the ladies in my family. I've seen aprons with feathers on them and other embellishments that I think are so cute....but how could I make some? Should I buy plain white fabric and make the apron from scratch or buy a plain white apron and embellish it?

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Jennifer

Cute idea. If you're talking about plain white bib-aprons, there are plenty of places online where you can purchase them inexpensively ready made (do a Froogle search).

Embellishing is the FUN part!

I'd buy the apron. I just bought an adult one in black from Hobby Lobby for $2.99. You can't make it for that. I do machine embroidery and this worked out fine for me. THey are a cotton/poly blend that washes up well.
