Making ADRs with a room only reservation

I have a room only reservation booked for August. My 180 days starts this Sunday. My problem is we are still waiting for Southwest to start booking air reservations for our return trip. Once we see airfares we may book a package with air and hotel. By question is- if I use the current reservation number to get ADRs for the length of my stay, what happens if I end up canceling that reservation and rebooking with a package?
