making a monogram

I'm trying to personalize some wedding essentials, and I wanted to make a monogram. I know that many of you have done this for favors. How do you make a monogram using Word? Any help is appreciated.

you want it to look like this?

ABC

well, with the A and the C centered on the B, of course...

I don't know if you can do it in word, b/c it would turn out like the above, not horizontally centered. If you have a graphic program you can use like photoshop or illustrator (I'd use illustrator) it'd be cake...

disregard! I figured it out...

-type in your initials
-make the center letter a larger font size
-highlight the first letter
-right click on the highlighted letter and click on "Font"
-click on the "character spacing" tab
-on the third line, it says "position" - select "raised"
-the next box on that line says "by" - play with the pt size until it is in the place you want.
-do the same for the last letter

voila!

You can use Word, it's just a bit of a pain.

The easiest way to do it in Word is to use textboxes (from the drawing menu). It's the most flexible way to move around different pieces of text.

our colors are dark pink ( Watermelon, Davids Bridal color) , we are thinking about using light pink paper.
