Making a GC payment to my resort reservation on the WDW website?

I was looking to make payments on my resort ressie and was wondering if I could do that online? When I handed all of my Disney GC to the CM on my last visit (Feb 25) they said that I could enter them before I arrived. I found some instructions. They are as follows: Log into MDE, select my plans, find ressie, select make payment (can't find that anywhere so I can't enter any GC) then choose Disney GC as method of payment, follow prompts to add GC etc. If it's possible I would like to add everything before I go as it took over 30min for the CM to enter all of my GC. I know I can call in but would rather enter online. TIA

I've never done it online. It's been a while, so things may have changed, but years ago I could call and use the automated phone system to pay by GC. Might be worth a try. You know you can combine your gift cards up to $1000 online? That would reduce the number of cards you have to process.

I’ve paid online via GCs in the past. The instructions seem like they make sense to me….do you have more than one hotel reservation on MDE?

Combine your gc's first on disney gift card . com
The fewer you use the less complicated it will be if you need refunds (refunds go back to the original gc used).

I had to call last time I wanted to pay with gc before my trip.

In the past only package reservations could be paid online. I also do what gottalovepluto mentioned, I use disneygiftcard site to combine my GCs and you can do up to $1,000 on per GC. This makes it so much easier when I call in to make a payment and also during the trip to stop in the lobby to payoff room charges.

Do you have a package or room only? I always book room only & there is no way to pay online. From what I’ve read, you can make online payments for package reservations. For room only, call & you can do,it thru the automated system, or a CM if you prefer to talk to a human.

Just a warning if you plan to pay at check in with GCs they will most likely have already charged your CC. They can reverse the charges but i don’t want you to be surprised. It would be easier to call and pay with your GCs then have wait in line, explain, wait for them to reverse the charges, etc.

If you have a large amount of gc take pity on the front desk CM and combine before you arrive...

Package reservations can be paid online with a gift card, FYI.

It's been a few years but I have done this by calling in to pay off the balance on my room only reservation before arrival.
It would be so much easier for CM and guests if we could just do it online instead of waiting forever on the phone to get customer service.
