Making a 2011 reservation?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is it July/August before you can make a hotel or vacation package reservation for WDW if you live in North America?

Why then, if you live in Europe, can you book trips to WDW now for 2011? The Disney UK site is selling flight-included packages for 2011 already...

I would like to go in February, 2011, which means ideally my flights will be booked up to 6 months in advance, and if the 180-day reservation window for restaurant reservations holds, we are supposed to book flights and make restaurant reservations before we are able to book our hotels?

I think room only reservations can be made 499 days out, and by phone only I believe.

Packages can not be booked until Disney releases the prices, that's usually some time in Aug.

Flights are a different beast. Depending on your location, or where you will be flying from, those dates are all over the place.

You can book anytime you want but they won't confirm the price until the next years rates are released. Which is in August.

We have already booked for January 2011. Just be aware that if you book a room only that they charge you for one night at the higest room rate for the year. Once the new prices come out in August they will send you an invoice with the updated price and the new amount owed. If you want to book a package you will need to call and reserve your room then when the rates come out in August call and have it changed to a package.

As has been said here..you can book the price will just be subject to change.
We booked the GF 10 years (yup 10!) before the 2000 Millenium New Years!! We paid the one night rate as it was then as Deposit and every year they updated the pricing and we paid the difference. By the time it came..the difference was hefty!!!
